Kubota makes a "extended life" coolant. It is a Ethlene-Glycol based phosphate coolant.
My tractor is 2017 and came with the green stuff. Same as you would get at the auto parts store.
I decided to try the upgrade (extended life coolant) next month. I went to my dealer to buy some, but they didn't carry it. Said it cost more that the green. I got it at another dealer. Interesting, the extended cost $21 and is concentrate, makes 2 gal. - their green stuff is premix and cost $14. The exended life is cheaper.
I would never use the orange stuff in the tractor. There is a reason it is a different color.
The extended life description. But you still need to change it at 2 yrs.
Kubota Genuine Coolant is a premium Ethylene Glycol-based phosphate coolant certified for Kubota Engines. Its formula consists of unique characteristics to meet Asian vehicle applications and does not contain any silicate, borate, nitrite, etc that can cause problems in the cooling system.
Probably doesn't make much difference. But if I trust buying a brand of tractor, then I probably should trust their recommendations regarding fluids.
I did change to Rotella T6, but only after talking with the Kubota Service department. They said "can't get any better oil than T6".
