Another factor is people getting resigned to getting Covid. Instead of isolating, they are going out to shows and restaurants. The money is going to social and services instead of consumer goods. Hopefully it will reduce inflation, but I'm not holding my breath.

You just hit a sore spot with me. I've been semi isolating so that I can go down to my mother's 85th birthday party on Sunday (immediate family only). Except that tomorrow I have to attend a company wide "safety meeting" at a convention center downstate. Is that an oxymoron? I do have test kits and will be using them before going down on Sunday.

Hardly anyone has worn masks in our part of the state here in western, pa for nearly a year.
I know I haven't.

People who care about there communities health are still wearing masks. At least when they are indoors and among others.. We just had the latest version of covid run thought a nursing home here and residents died.

COVID is alive and well... some barely a second thought and others, mostly old still don't leave the house to some extent.

Working in medical masking never stopped and county is back to mandatory... so not a lot of change.

Supply shortages are real for some things hospitals need and abundant for others and some are available for a price.

With all the filling stations selling premium around $7 a gallon it's easy to see everytime at the pump.

A lot of people in my mostly older circle are still hunkered down and buying resistance is high for wants.

Noticed a huge uptick in all manor of advertising but will consumers be as free spending going forward?

Don't discount regional issues such as water rationing having a far teaching impact as some farms simply are not planting or planning for harvest due to water not being available.
