THE DAY WAS DRY, temperature nice enough for t-shirts (and I wear shorts all year).
Took the El Camino to church today, service was good
Dump Run fit into my day, Finally - nice to have my truck back
Stopped at a buddy's place and chatted with a few guys for about 2 hrs - was able to solidify a pending deal that I had made 2 months ago (busy times) ... trading my 1980 Cutlass Calais (project) for - set of used, original equip alloy rims, brand new All Terrain 10 ply tires, fog lights, installation of grille guard, and repositioning the canopy (all for my '93 Silverado). Should be fun. :)
coffee with some other friends tonight

sodomo - two songs for me regarding this coming week's weather 1) Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head - B J Thomas 2) I Love A Rainy Night - Eddie Rabbitt

popgadget - good idea

txdon - I might be able to get a photo of a puddle on the yard

wagtail - those must be important signs, 2 is pretty close to perfect though

rswyan - :)

alien - my wife's CPAP machine was covered under our private medical, hoping that is an option for you

Actually they are... $fine$. There's a law that says that all election signs must be down within a number of weeks of the election or the candidate/Party will be fined.

There's no one else available to take them down, so, off I go.

I was giving you credit for a good job. We have the same rules and associated fine$, but they don't appear to be enforced very well - enjoy the extra road trip, stop for a coffee at least.

70 and foggy. Going to 92 and triple digit heat index...Sodamo, "Wish you were here!" :ROFLMAO:

Don, I can't help with down under "cold" pix, but maybe if we measure like they do we'll feel cooler...instead of 100 degrees, it's only 37.8 C.

Thomas, hope the healing is accelerating.

Went for a dump run and then a nice hike after the rain ended yesterday. Surprised to see only 2 couples there on a Sunday afternoon, but was pleased to see a nicely restored 30's model Ford sedan in the parking lot...nice listening to it start up and run through a couple gears.

Kyle, great photo of your son and the dogs. I was given one of these for Coconino and it helped get the balls out much farther than I could otherwise throw them...

73 outside heading to 90's.

Managed to hop on the mower late yesterday. Started small, ended up doing the whole back area. Today when it dries up, will do the front. I lost count of how many times we have already cut the grass. I should write it down.

Should hop on the tractor too and do the trails..... .still too wet in spots.

Managed to dump all the concrete since it was clean by our bridge. Sides have lots of rock for run-off control so it seemed like a better idea than the land fill.

Need a HD run today to get some concrete so I can frame out the doors.

Just waiting on Mother Nature to dry things up a bit so we can start the day.

Stay well all, be safe.

Outside chores done E muffin time.
Plans for today...I have no idea yet.

Enjoy the day all.

today looks like a very nice Monday. Fog burned off early and now a bright blue sky day up to high 80's.
I need to go foodshopping and then home to plant those trees that came in on Saturday. Little trees, easy to plant.

need to call dentist, think a filling fell out. Ka ching.

I'll see what I can do as I had a heavy frost this morning... -2.3C! I don't get snow in the NE of Tassie although the higher elevations do. Ben Lomond has opened it's alpine skiing facility early this season.

The wind has abated and the current temp is 10C with clear sky.

Received a morning phone call to let me know that I'd missed 2 political signs waaaaay down South, so that's what I'll get up to tomorrow. Usually I'd enjoy a nice 'road trip' but the price of petrol really takes the edge off of it.

Take care all.
Are political campaigns required to remove their signs after each elections?

Stop looking at your temperature and get on the correct side of the road :)
Good one.
Actually was parked. No traffic. Everyone was hunkering down in their A/C homes.
Wngsprd I like your idea.
LS at 9PM our temp was 96˚.

Good morning! 23˚C heading to 38.3˚C. Should be the last day of this 8-day above hundred heat streak. Should be just high 90s the rest of the week. I will see this morning if the garden survived for 2 days without irrigation, about 16 hours above 100. If it did I'll water it, if it did not I'll call it quits for the summer and start back after August. I really feel bad for some of the gardens they were really looking good before the pump broke. I do believe there will be an emergency plan in place by next summer if all the gardens are toast.

Trail clearing today for 90 minutes at 4PM. I'm passing.

Good Morning.
It’s 68 and will top 80, still a bit foggy but burning off. With that high of a dew point, it’s gonna be muggy today.

Yesterday, the rain held off most of the day, with thunderstorms late in the day. Passenger decided to drive rather than deal with the weather, so I didn’t have to go anywhere.
Did a little bit of fence repair with the help of oldest son and grandson, cleaned up some in the shop, putting things back in their proper place, after back to back chores. Short visit with youngest son when he stopped by to borrow some tools.
Other than that, it was an energy conversation day.

Today might be similar. I’ve got to go to town for a routine blood draw, typically so my doctor can give me a stern talk about life style changes after reading the report.

One of our airports, Doylestown is closed for a week starting yesterday for a rehab and repaving the runway, they are working 24/7 to get it done quickly, I’ll likely stop in and see how it’s going after getting my blood drawn.

Pogadget
I was looking at the OS 120FS the last couple of days wondering if I should grab one. I use to use nothing but OS engines.

I haven’t been active in the RC community for well over a decade, but when I was the OS handily outperformed the offerings from Saito and Enya. I confess to not having a clue what’s available today though.

Morning all, 70 going to 88 and the rain seems to have moved to tomorrow.
Spent yesterday afternoon moving furniture around pool etc. to get ti ready for Wednesday.

PopG- now that is a roasted connector. the insulator and conductor parts seem to have been confused, not good when QC is done by consumer.

Sodamo - rubbing it in  sun/ocean views so horrible :)

RS - got tired looking at all you are preparing to plant...

Drew - congrats on the relief at Meeting. Should lower the stress level and allow you to pursue more trailer fun.

LS - Happy birthday to GS!

Stay safe and be well,

Got up around an hour ago to take a whizz, did so and headed back to bed.

Not long after that heard a loud bang and the power went out.

Since didn’t hear any rain or more noises I suspect that a squirrel suicided himself on the transformer and flipped the fuse.

I reported it, expected restoration time is 11:00.

Now enjoying a cold coffee …

Mine took 8 hours Saturday to get the line fuse replaced, over 6 hours before the one man "crew" showed up.

Good Morning!!!! 53F @ 7:00AM. Sunny. High 83F. Winds NW at 10 to 20 mph.
Finally, some cooler weather. But with Summer just getting started, we'll see 99 on Wednesday before another slight cool down later in the week. Yesterday's thunder storms in the Dixie Fire scar brought down enough mud and rocks in the Feather River Canyon to close Highway 70 again. No ETA on reopening, but the photos don't look as bad as last time. No more rain in the 10-day. Only 0.01" of that rain landed here, so everything's still dry as a bone.

Too windy for tractoring yesterday, so spent most of the day working on more paperwork. Maybe I'll get to it this morning before the wind picks up. I did take a break toward the end of the day to run a drill that resets the idle speed on the van engine. That seems to have worked, so maybe it's on to the next issue.

Hope everyone's week gets off to a great start!

Emergency tap into city water installed this morning.
However I did not need it. My irrigation showed signs of activity. Apparently the high pressure pump is on it’s last leg and works intermittently depending on the heat. It still waters early mornings. The gardens live.

You can tell by the surrounding gardens that I planted late because I prefer potatoes, which takes most of the spring. I’m thinking of getting another garden when one becomes available next to mine.
