If you do go with a container, be sure you get it off the ground so you have air circulation under it, otherwise you'll have lots of humidity inside and things will rust quickly and leather with mold & mildew. May want to add exhaust fans for the interior. Someone posted some solar powered fans they'd added that looked like would work well. Be sure it is level or the doors will stick.

Up off the ground for ventilation under it. But more important attach some sort of roof over it. Sheets of iron with a 6 inch gap between the top of the container and the roof even better get a cheap carport building and put the container inside it keeping direct sun off the container roof & walls goes a long way towards reducing the condensation forming on the roof and raining down on everything
Yea, what they said. Ventilation underneath and shade over the top and sides and it will be far more useful to you. We used those for storage and living space for four years plus while in Afghanistan. You have to arrange the interior space to make use of a long narrow set up but it can work. Keep us posted.

I too have considered a container. I think I would add a solar attic fan.

Yea, I wish we would have had something like that a number of years ago. The containers served us well but an exhaust fan in the ceiling would have helped a lot in that climate.

I decided on a pair of 20' over a single 40'. Currently trying to figure out best arrangement for roof...I have them spaced next to each other with about 15' between them. The idea is I needed quick secure storage to get out of renting a space, and I can use my truck and/or bobcat to drag these around to a more settled location eventually. I am actually liking the idea now of just building a standard new pole barn, and separating the containers each with it's own lean-to off it. One a tool shed and the other to park atvs. The main barn is nice to have not cluttered and not nearly as secure anyways if I leave the property.

Last summer I paid right at 6k for them both delivered, w/ tamper resistant welded on lock boxes. They are used but I'm fine with the dents and welds as overall they don't leak and seal up very tight, the rubber and latches are in OK shape. I picked them out from a yard that had hundreds for sale/rent of all kinds and these were the cheapest ones they had. E&J Trailer Cincinnati, OH, great place! I believe the guys name was David.
