Any of you ever buy a frozen pizza from Aldi's then dress it up a bit at home with more toppings and cheeses. It's not bad in a pinch and pretty reasonably priced.
Not sure what Aldi's is, but some of the Walmart refrigerator case (ie-non frozen) pizzas aren't bad, the stuffed crust ones are pretty good. Not pizzaria good, but probably better than what you'd get at Pizza Hut or Little Caesar's. We'll load it up, enough for the 2 of us with a couple slices leftover to reheat for breakfast.

Anyone try making a pizza from a Boboli? I did a few times back in the 70s/80s. Didn't really taste like pizza, but wasn't too bad.

I was thinking about Boboli! We used to use them as a pizza crust in the 90's. I did not realize they were made back in the 70's and 80's. We stopped using Boboli when a French bakery opened up locally. That place made me gain at lease 20 pounds! We would get a fresh baguette, cut in lengthwise and use it for the "pizza" crust. The problem was, I would have to buy at least two baguettes, one was to eat on the way home and while we made the pizza baguette. Cuban bread is similar to a French baguette and I sure miss Cuban bread.

I don't know if it's available everywhere, but Pappa Murphey's makes the best pizza ever; you order it made like you want it, pick it up, take it home and cook it yourself. It's all you could ask for.

It must be regional. I've heard of the Drop Kick Murphys, but never the pizza.

That's sort of like those fondue restaurants...when you go there you have to cook your own food...!...(go figure)

The Frescetta Brand supermarket pizzas are pretty good and the closest we have found to pizzas in Italy.

We've transitioned to making our own individual pies using store bought pizza dough. And putting on what ever toppings we want. The wife likes subtle flavors, mostly vegetarian, while I like to experiment with strong flavors and sometimes crazy ingredients.

I'm buying vegetarian more and more. I drain the fat off when I cook hamburg or pork, and don't really care to sop it off my pizza when I buy it premade.

Just out of curiosity, what do you consider "Crazy ingredients?"
