Grapple off a rear remote?

   / Grapple off a rear remote? #11
I had some 3/8 hydraulic hoses made up to run from my rear remotes and routed them semi permanently to the front of my FEL. I have a third function electric valve but a fourth function up front always is nice for the more delicate controls And for hydraulic motor controls.

I see a lot of people do that and so do I but I remove my loader regularly so I added a set of hydraulic couplers next to the 4 that run the loader so my extra hoses come away with the loader when I remove it.

I use a rear remote on my JD 2030. The remote has detents for both open and close. I just move the lever to detent and let it open or close. If I want more control closing, I use the lever, but stay out of detent.
That's exactly what I do. Set it and forget but can still overide it. While it's opening or closing on the detent position it frees up that hand to operate the loader controls, shifter, etc.
Nothing like efficiency!(y)

I thought I would chime in on this thread as I too, have installed and successfully used rear remotes for an additional grapple unit on my Mahindra.

My problem is, that I'm having repeated disconnects from my couplers and not sure how to stop it from happening. They are mounted via a 'break-away' bracket and I even attempted to use zip ties to help alleviate any undue pressure on the coupler themselves. That helped for a while but, it is still an issue.
Has anyone had this issue and successfully found a solution?

I'm hoping I don't need to take it to a hydraulic specialist to have the rear remotes turned into a hard-line connection.

Something pulling on the lines? I had pull to release QD remotes.

I supported the lines from remotes to the loader 3rd function with clamps from back to the front.

I've looked at the lines from every angle and can't see any possible way they could be pulling as there is ample slack in them.
That is a good looking support bracket you have there, where did you find them?

Surplus Center. ZORO or about any hydraulic supply.
