I like that idea. I've told this story before... I took a shortcut to a friend's house one cold January evening a couple of decades ago.chain the fellow to some crappy little dog house and throw scraps at him for a week. See how he enjoys that.
it's a road where you never meet another car. I saw something in my headlights up ahead, as I got closer I saw a little kitten sitting on the center of the gravel road, most likely it hadn't moved since somebody opened their door and dropped it. The darned thing was barely big enough to be away from it's mother. I couldn't keep it, my friends had two dogs and she didn't like cats so I stopped by a farm I drove past and they agreed to put it out in the barn with the rest of the cats. In hindsight after picking the kitten up I could have stepped on the gas and probably caught up with the driver who had done it but it's also a good thing I didn't... I could be pretty ignorant back then.
It would have been poetic justice if his car had broken down out there and he had learned what it was like to be stranded in the cold.
