I doubt 10 maybe 7700 scribner scale the tops are over 40”, these are rough girls pretty ugly compared to the stuff that’s older yet.WAG - 10K plus ???????????????

Scalers here are third party entities that work for the mill or state there’s no shopping around for different types of scale unless you move a lot of volume think in the billions of board feet a year. I’ve heard some place do east side scale though so everything is based on short log scribner so it’s double scale on everything over 16’ which would help.I was thinking International but I still be high. You ought to get me a job as a scaler - I'm logger friendly.

As always Mr. Hunt, absolutely beautiful woodwork! Especially since it originated as a tree growing on your property (which was probably a very nice looking tree even) it now enhances your yard/pool. I'm always amazed at the outcomes of your wood projects! Much more talent and patience than I will ever have. Thanks for sharing! GregWell I finally finished my latest project, A table for around the pool to replace one that a storm destroyed a while back. The top and stretcher is out of sweetgum, the legs are oak along with the half round used to anchor the umbrella underneath. Oh, and the pins to hold the stretcher. The wife liked the bark on the sweetgum and after a bit more than a year of drying the bark was still tight so I left it on.
In the process of fitting it in the garage.

Greg, thank you very much! That means a lot to me. I enjoy doing this kind of thing! I can even show you the three tree stumps from where I cut it! 1 sweetgum and 2 oaks..As always Mr. Hunt, absolutely beautiful woodwork!
