John Deere LA 175 26 hp B/S 54" deck
I posted previously regarding a new 54" deck for a LA 175. Finally got the dealer to quote around $ 1300.00 and more for several issues to a total of around 2 thousand plus. I usually do most general repairs, but not with a broken ankle.
My concern is if I put 2 grand into the older LA 175, and the tranny goes out - well, that's not a good situation.
A new riding mower? Which one should I consider for 1.5 acre flat yard? A JD from a dealer or a Cub Cadet from a dealer????

I fixed my hydro transmission in my older Deere rider. All would not be lost. They are fixable, even by a handyman…

Personally, I would go with the Cub Cadet.... only if it was the upper end, like with the fabricated deck.

Think of your ankle in years to come if you choose hydro with pedal.
