10:40 PM on July 9 here, fireworks still going off every 10 minutes or so. I am sure it will go past midnight again. The people doing this have a Juvenile mindset.

I'm really surprised fireworks sales to the public have not been banned yet considering the dangers and nuisances involved.

Local Indian reservations are the biggest fireworks source up here and no one is going to stop them. Last night (July 10) they stopped at my place around 10 PM. Off Reservation fireworks stands can open June 28 and must close July 4th. On Reservation they usually open just ahead of Memorial day in MAY and close when they run out in July whatever day. Nothing stops people from buying On Reservation and driving them off.
Wait, there's more..... They open the Reservation stands back up for New Years and we get to listen to them then as well.

They were banned here for years, but in 2012 the legislature made it legal to buy them... if your town allows them. A lot of places quickly passed ordinances banning them, however other places they are legal.

A few minutes shy of 10 PM here on July 13 and the border collie is holed up in the bedroom barking at yet more fireworks.
