The biggest distraction that I can think of is a fly flitting up and down the windshield.

You failed to mention one other distraction I observed several times when I drove truck, someone getting a highway delight from their girlfriend while driving down the interstate, weaving from lane to lane. I also saw women changing clothes while driving, too.

I've often said that if we had to pass the test for our license which you did to get your CDL there would be a lot less people driving; and the roads would be a much safer place. Yet there are some cowboys who shouldn't be behind the wheel of a Yugo, let alone driving 80,000 lbs. (Or 100,000, hauling wood up here.)

We had a tragic accident in our little town involving a friend of mine. He was sitting in the left lane making a turn and a local HS girl was putting on makeup in the visor mirror (they should be illegal, too). She slammed into the back of his pickup truck at highway speed. She was killed instantly.

I bet there is a way that they could install circuitry in the phones that makes them unusable after it detects that the phone is being used by a driver with the phone in hand.
