Music and the effect on those with Alzheimers can be profound.
Patients no longer able to have a conversation or not really with it will start to sing and tap to a familiar tune from 60 or 70 years back.
Mom often has trouble expressing herself now but yesterday I was busy in the kitchen and she said several times concert… what she wanted is music and her taste is all over the spectrum with some she really likes and some she doesn’t.
I found it is a great way to spend time together… thank you YouTube!
Every evening concert ends with Glenn Miller Moonlight Serenade… but I play anything from Doris Day, Dean Martin to Vanilla Ice Baby and Sugar Sugar…
