Massey 1533
Hi. I’m looking for some help, I have an 05 MF 1533 Power Shuttle.
I experiencing a lack of power with the hydraulics. Getting up to speed takes awhile. If I drop my Gannon down, it just about stops the tractor. And trying to dig or lift anything it struggles. Engine runs strong. New hydraulic filters. Clean fluid. Engine does not bog down. Old fluid was also clear/clean. Seems to be consistent regardless of operating temp.
Where do I start? I’ve heard thing like a possible leak on the suction side of the pump, clutches, cartridge relief valve, a blocked suction screen, or a bad pump.

I am having issues as well, loader bucket has no tilt down pressure and while driving it bounce's like a shock absorber. almost like its has air in the system. I changed fluid and suction filter. but did not see a inline screen. I did bleed the system to get the loader working again.

You really should start your own thread. Piggy backing just confuses everything.

Your problem could be any of those and probably a few that aren't on your list. If you have a rear remote I would rig a 2000 psi or greater gauge on a quick couple and check the hydraulic pressure. One can be made up pretty cheaply. The same can be done at the loader valve. I'm not familiar with your tractor. It's a gear drive with hydraulic power shuttle?

No rear remote unfortunately. I can get a guage on the loader hookup for sure. What psi range am I looking for?

It has gears 1-4, low, mid, and high range. It does have a clutch pedal.

I can’t seem to find any good manuals for this machine. Any pointers on where to look?

I don’t want to just throw money at random parts but taking it to a dealer is insanely expensive since our local dealers were bought out by a large Caterpillar dealer with in the last few years.

On a 1533? Where was the suction strainer? I never found one referenced in the manual I have or mentioned to me by the dealer.

whats this damaged hose for? looks like low pressure so possible suction side? wondering about collapse upon usage issue.
edit: this does look to be too small for hyd setup (maybe coolant bypass??) but still....at some point soon that hose gonna fail you.

I would start with Google. Maybe some of the Massey guys can point you to one. Do you know if the clutch is wet or dry? You definitely want to do some diagnostic work as parts are expensive. I would guess your pressure your looking for would somewhere between 1600 and 2000 but I don't know your tractor at all.
