A busy day today.
I missed daughter's day (Sunday) so I posted a photo on FB today. Thought I'd share it here also. The photo from a few years ago, has both daughters in it. Both were adopted, Blessing us since they were very young.
Daughter on the Left is a professional Barber at Tommy Gun's Premium Men's Barber Shop, an hour away from where I live. She is currently on maternity leave with a 7 month old boy, her husband is a pastor. She last cut my hair about 6 months ago, so I was due for a cut - I went to a local barber shop, where her former boss gave me a great cut and style today.
Daughter on the Right is a Concierge at a Hotel in Vancouver, BC. Doing very well, enjoying City Living
(it was daughter's day, but we also have a Son, who lives in the Vancouver area. He is a full sibling of daughter on the right, both arriving in Canada from Haiti in 2000)
Had a guy visiting from New FoundLand stop in this morning to see some of my cars. Purely an interest. He stopped at Rust Valley Restorers (TV) after that. I met him when he arrived in my driveway. Nice guy.
Scraps pickup at Salvation Army - good load for the truck. Delivered some chicken feed to my neighbour down the road.
Bought a nail clipper for large dogs today, hope to trim the pup's nails tomorrow.
A few errands done, Banking, groceries etc.
Bought an OBS (Old Body Style) magazine for Chevy pick-ups 1988 - 1998. Mine is a '93. Might get a few ideas for upgrades... it is a rare specialty print, so far I have 2 of 2, they are infrequent, with the last magazine purchased about 15 months ago.
Caught up with a former Probation colleague today at the grocery store. He also retired a few years ago.
Stopped in to check on my Zero Turn Mower progress, I expect that they will deliver it later this week. I will have whatever fabricating remains, done by a friend. (I was able to drive into the Farm Equipment property today, so my whining about it last week, to the people that make decisions, paid off for them in quick order ... the business is now accessible again, in spite of ongoing roadwork - yay !!!)
surprise tonight was that another chick hatched in the incubator about 2 hours ago. I was dismantling the incubator tonight for a thorough cleaning, and then I heard a peeping within a shell, so I set it up again. This was a yard egg that we found, and so it was very uncertain. But now a baby chick is here. Late in the season, but I'll take it, total BONUS. I left it in there to dry off a bit more. I think I will name it "Lottery", a complete gamble.
Tomorrow I am set to do another dump run.
