An interview with Anthony Hopkins he said less is more with acting. He's so believable. I liked him starting with Magic and The Elephant Man.
Best movies are ones they don't spoon feed you and unpredictable. That's why we watch TCM a lot, the classics. A sex scene...just show the guy & girl kiss and switch scenes.
Someone gets shot, showing the bullet in slow motion for 5 minutes and wall splatter, we shut it off. Unnecessary gore.
