Had not thought of FlexSeal for shoe repair. Please update us on the results.
Just so I understand your plan, is it to use the FlexSeal between the sole and the shoe?
The flexSeal is used on the bottom of the house shoes.
I uses shoe goo for a pair of my shoes when the sole came away from the shoe with a very temporary fix, threw the shoes away.

Before and after 1st coat of wife's refurbished house shoes. They are taped good and the overspray on the sides is on the tape.
Now to wait 24 hours to see if 2nd coat is needed.

I would like to see this all done. How is the purging done on Mr Cool line sets? Aren’t the lines open to air when they are installed? My understanding the outdoor unit is precharged, and opening valve puts Freon in the line set.

Where do you connect vacuum pump?
I have a gauge set, but I haven’t used them in over 30 yrs when a guy that knew what he was doing helped me recharge a heat pump.
There are good videos of how to do this if you search. Micron gauge is an essential tool as well as valve stem bypass and isolation tool to prevent contamination of the micron gauge

Here is pic of the tools collected to be able to install mini splits correctly:
I have posted this before. The gauge set is not strictly required.
This is for installation where it is not precharged like Mr. Cool is. The condenser will come charged and the lines will be connected and checked for leaks with Nitrogen. Then the micron gauge and valve core removal tool installed. Connect up vacuum pump to end of valve core removal tool and evacuate for an hour or so. Hold for a few hours to check for increase in pressure and if good open the valves for the refrigerant and done

30°F and light snow this morning, got up to 40° today. Been cloudy all day, with flurries floating about.

Made a run to Tractor Supply in Carlyle to pick up some chicken feed today, and that was pretty much it. Been loafing around the house most of the day, and got in a nice nap.

Took a package to the UPS Store in Shiloh yesterday, and just outside of Lebanon saw a bald eagle standing at the edge of a field, deciding weather or not it was worth trying to dodge the heavy traffic on US-50 to recover his prey, a large raccoon that had since been squished in the middle of the highway. Knowing that they are large birds, I don't think I ever appreciated just how large they truly are until I was looking at one from 20 feet away standing at eye level. Wow. Massive bird.

More catching up to do here ... again.

Hope everyone is well.

After dinner feet up watch little YT early to bed out the door early AM.

Enjoy your evening all.

The MrCool linesets are also precharged. There is a seal over the ends that gets punctured when getting connected.

33F and cloudy @ 18:00, heading down to a low of around 27F in the overnight. High today was 37.4F.

Another marathon session out in the garage last night. Knocked off around 08:00 this morning, was fast asleep by 09:00.

Have progressed eastward beyond the bench on the north wall into the northeast corner of the garage which has a bunch of junk piled in it. The old Craftsman pressure washer which needs a new pump will get moved up to the shop for restoration later this week.

Woman commented the other day that we need more storage space. Yeah ... either that or just less junk.

Got the two (open) bags of Chlordane and one (open) bag of AAtrex 80W (atrazine) dug out from the shelf on the bench on the west wall and moved to the front of the garage. The Chlordane has been banned, and the atrazine is probably dicey as well (EPA studies on it are "questionable")

Also cleaned up a spill of Ortho Lindane Borer and Leaf Miner Spray on that shelf. It's a neurotoxin, nasty stuff. Looks like it melted the poly I used on the shelf ... :(

Unfortunately the county recycle center does not open until June 1 ... so they'll all probably have to be stored up in the shop until I can take them in this summer.

Started cleaning off the top of the workbench on the west wall, shelves underneath mostly cleaned at this point.

More sorting done of pieces/parts.

Organized herbicides, pesticides, and amendments/fertilizers and got those all stowed away.

Gave the guard for the SuperCut head for the Stihl FS 66 some love and cleaned a bunch of debris off it.

Started splitting down some Shagbark Hickory splits that I saved from about 10 years, will make into hickory chips for smoking.

Swapped out a 5 gallon bucket for the 20 gallon Rubbermaid Brute trash can in the kitchen that we were using to store dry cat food. Took the Brute out into the garage and set it on the bench on the north wall with the rest of the critter food containers and then emptied the unopened bag of deer corn into it and got it off the floor.

Did not get the hopper feeder refilled yesterday, tube feeders still had some seed left in them as of this afternoon when I got up.

Did get all the fish fed though, plus changed out several pre filters on HOB's.

Woman made spaghetti + garlic toast for dinner yesterday, was very tasty.

Will spend the rest of the day inside tending to a variety of things inside that need done.

Hope everyone had a good Sunday ... (y)
