Drew, my Son had a 2021 Ford F150 crew cab pickup. Traded in for a 2022 Dodge 2500 crew cab to pull his 24’ travel trailer. Tows a lot better than the Ford. Dodge has 6.7 diesel. He looked at GM 2500 and Ford 250. Prices were $10k more.

We have the Ford F350 dually Platinum model with 6.7 diesel. It tows really well but rides somewhat bumpy when empty. If you need to tow a large 5th wheel it will do the job for sure.

Frits, there is still likely a little black rubber on several concrete corners in Washington NC where I briefly drove my Ram 3500 Cummins dually. That poor rear
right tire. Never did more than scuff it but felt like an idiot.
So I've owned two very nice tow rigs. I bought the first one just before I found the NC farm, and was going to pull a big fifth wheel.
Then the farm came, had to stretch to do that, no time or money for big trucks and long term traveling. So I sold that pristine dually. Bought the 1500 Laramie with
the air bag suspension. Now that was the one that got away. Ram saga continues with the 1500 Ram I bought last year, which turned out to be a major rotter.
Reality is I need to spend a little more and get a nicer truck.

my brother knows the owner of a Ram dealership. They have four used trucks...not much out there. And all their new trucks are white or black and all basic models.
The "nice stuff" nowhere in existence.

Drew, that airbag suspension looks nice. It should smooth out the bumpiness of the trucks and it can I think raise or lower the height as well. Wish that it was available on our pickup. You are right on scraping the curb. I still manage to do that at times with both the sprinter (170 inch wheel base) and the truck. Wife complains every time.

65°F and no rain

Got my holes for my post bases dug. Not that bad but still don’t care for hand digging. Miscalculated my Quikcrete so unexpected trip to HD. Dinner in town with Sophie. Will finish up the concrete this morning.

Canada Dave is making progress on the Cottage renovation, a good portion of the lanai rail removed and studded for wall.

Good morning to all! Low was only down to 37°... the winds kicked up, rolling down off the mountains. That air movement actually causes the temp to go up. High today expected to be 53°.
Looks like the precip is going to stay north of us..... we will get high winds tomorrow. Today's 35 mph gusts are only the appetizer......

RNG, can you turn the deflectors just a little more towards the SE? Maybe just a few degrees?

Buppies, hope you can get past the crud... having a fever for so long isn't good. Fluids, fluids, and more fluids.....

BEF, have a nice trip up to see your dad. No rushing, nothing to hurry up for.... now it's all for enjoyment!

PopG, I am curious.... do you own the restaurant or just know the owners? Seems like you are always fixing something there.....

Drew, I'm surprised that the RAM dealers have just the basic trucks there, the dealers here have nothing but the top of the line $100K trucks. That's my issue, I want a basic truck.... none to be had....

Mostly, just a minor hiccup.... the list gets one item crossed off, but TWO get added on..... I'm going in the wrong direction on the list....

Today's agenda is to keep plugging away on the list... next up is the oil changes and clean the truck. If I can get those things done.....
