Got the 3 pt miniature auger made, time for some powdercoat now and to make the PTO shaft.
Nothing, been retired for 15 years. FIL just died at age 85 so I,m back in the Philippines for a few months dealing with his passing and hating the 90 degree heat every day not looking forward to the rainy season that will soon be here.

(Friday)
my son in law stopped in and lent a hand in the yard
had the tractor out to move some sand / gravel with the FEL, and then level some ruts in the driveway with the box blade
re-did the fencing on the chicken run with a 6 ft chain link fence (used), the birds are less inclined to escape into the yard ... only the hardened ones with attitude will bother now. it looks much better than the shoddy fencing that was there earlier today.
loaded more junk into the truck, for a dump run later this weekend
then it was back to organizing my home office, and working on tax files and bookkeeping files

My horse got out of my pasture into the pasture next door for the umteenth time. The barbed wire fenceline is covered with briars and poison ivy and downed trees and almost impassable for humans but that darned appaloosa -paint mix horse in my avatar claims the grass is greener on the other side.

Today I fought my way through the underbrush and put up 2 more strands of barbed wire about 50 feet long where I thought he was getting out. The I put him back in my pasture and went inside to wash the blood off my hands and arms where the briars and barbed wire got me and to use Dove on my arms to washaway the poison ivy oils before I start reacting to them. Then I went back out to feed the horses and that dam*ed App was in the other pasture again.

My quarter-horses never went through that thicket but that darned App just does what he wants. What the hell is a 76-year-old man doing with an App anyway?

Things picking up but doors never closed...

31 patients scheduled for surgery today and why I clock in at 3:30 am each day to make sure all is ready as staff begins arriving at 5 am and first patients at 5:30 am.

One thing I noticed is for better part of a year I was often the sole driver on the freeway coming to work... there was not anyone to be seen.

Much different now with quite a bit if traffic...

i spent an hour on the tractor tonight ..using the loader to move a pile of gravel, and then spreading it / leveling the ruts with the box blade. worked nicely.

It might be going under the fence.

Dated a girl years ago that had Belgians.

Great big huge honking horses

She had one that would do a commando crawl under the fence. She bread that horse. Momma taught it to her son.

So then they had two that would do the commando crawl.

Not much movements to be honest but a lot of interesting projects where done. I was staring at my laptop screen whole day long as i work for a big company which provides software services to individuals and big companies. The good thing about my job is a flexible schedule and that i can work remotely when i want to do so.

This is not what I did today, but part of what I did for 30 years ending in 2017. This is only half of our printing press. It was too big to fit into one picture. The entire machine was 1/2 of a city block long and 6 stories high. To say it was loud in there would be an understatement. From 2014-2017 I was the night electronics and mechanical technician during press runs. I'd have to say that this was the most/best documented piece of machinery I ever had the pleasure to work on. There were hundreds of thousands of wiring connections and each and every one was numbered and documented. A fine example of German engineering. I miss it.

neat Moss!. We work on an Italian printing machine about 50 feet by 20 feet tall from time to time and its a total crap shoot for documentation. It is used to print food lables on shrink wrap.

we have been wiring up a tenet finish for a lighting store for the past few weeks, about 200 new boxes with outlets or for light fixtures in 1500 sq feet. lots of MC cable.

Yesterday at one of my employer's buildings I was flushing hot water lines for rust as part of a preventative maintenance program. I attached a garden hose at the flush point, grabbed the ball valve handle, gave it a turn, and WOOSH!!!! Firehose!

So much water came out that I couldn't see what was happening. I thought the hose had come off of the fitting so I tried to close the handle. Nothing was happening, and so I ran away. Turned back to look and the 3/4" pipe nipple above the fitting had snapped off! Looked around for a shutoff, found one, and stopped it.

I was soaked head to toe with hot, stinky, rusty water. Called a plumber to fix the nipple and put a new ball valve on. Went home to change clothes. Took my shoes off inside the back door, and even the toes of my socks were orange from the rust! :ROFLMAO:
