Ultimately it was the right call, as it was actually holding (agreed lousy timing at the end of the game, but it was a hold and lets face it, the Eagles "luck" finally ran out). Give the Eagles player credit, he admitted it the the right call but was hoping they would let it slide.

Reality is when you need to blame the officiating for a loss, it's a sad excuse for not being a better team and actually winning.

Only team that ever got screwed for officiating was the Saints on the no PI call on the rams.

Hurts gave up a fumble that resulted in an automatic 7 point swing that didn't seem like something then in the first half, but it contributed to the loss.

It hurts me to say this (hey, no pun intended LOL) but the Eagles have no one else to blame for losing that game but themselves and the great come back play of Kansas City.

Honestly, I turned the game off the last minute when the guy slid at the goal line to keep the clock running. I was that disappointed. Also because I remember my dad living with me when we watched the Eagles win a couple of years ago, so it was kind of sad on a personal level with him not being around. There was a part of me that had hoped I'd get up this morning and read about the great last minute drive by the Eagles to win the game, but wasn't to be.

Overall a great game though.

Big question now is what's Hurts contract going to look like now? I just can't see the Eagles FO getting really stupid with money, but I could be wrong.

Totally disagree. In close games of that level of importance, refs need to stay out of the game unless its blatant.
Agree it was classy of the Eagles player, but every player holds on every play. Making that call at that time shows favoritism.
Everyone who was a Philly fan knew that a special, game changing call was coming for the Chiefs, so nobody here is surprised.

Hurts will be getting a huge contract. One of the Eagles asst coaches, or maybe both may be becoming head coaches elsewhere.

We are talking about games where it made a real difference.

If the offender says it was a good call how is that the Ref's fault? And it wasn't going to change the outcome. The Chiefs simply steam rolled the Eagles in the second half.

Lastly, those poor players, they need to be paid more!!!

Maybe but that is not what kept them out of the Super Bowl.
We are talking about games where it made a real difference.

The reality is the Eagles were up by 10 going into the 3rd quarter and pretty much dominated the Chiefs up until that time. They could have been up 17 if Hurts didn't get the ball taken away from him.

My point is the Eagles put themselves in that position in the last quarter to have a call like that seem so important. The added reality is it was a hold and it was called.

Give credit to KC. The Eagles defense didn't even have one sack from what I remember.

Good / great teams don't let one call (and it was the correct call) make the difference in the outcome of the game IMO.

Win with grace, lose with grace.

Per my previous post, if the eagles actually played all 4 quarters good, that one legitimate hold call would have not mattered.

I agree the call could have went either way, but it didn't go to the eagles favor.

Please keep in mind, I'm a huge Eagles fan. That said, in losing, like winning, do it with grace. No reason to vandalize property or climb light poles

There is a difference between being a fan of a sporting team and being a consumer spending your hard earned money

As a consumer, much prefer Dollar Tree vs Dollar General, and was pointing out how happy I was that Dollar Tree actually opened up in our small town.

Also as a consumer, I spend no money with the NFL other than watch their games, nor do they pay me anything, so at the end of the day, no affect on my life
