TYM to make a couple models for Yanmar

Kukjie has been a parts and sub-tractor kit maker for Yanmar for nearly 60 years. So this news is more of a formality. TYM and Yanmar are tightly connected. The two make Rural King RK tractors together too.

TYM in Rome, GA is very close to Yanmar USA in Adairville, GA and Deere in Augusta, GA.

Haha...they don't make RK together. The RK tractors are nearly 100% direct ports of the T224, T264, T25, T394, T454 and T554. They use Yanmar engines, but Yanmar has nothing to do with the design or building of the tractor. TYM also makes the T754 for RK, but it uses a Deutz engine.

This deal will have Yanmar effectively offering versions of some of those same tractors with Yanmar paint and stickers.

It is true that Yanmar and TYM have had a long business relationship...mostly it was just TYM buying Yanmar engines. JD had Yanmar completely make units with green paint and still uses Yanmar engines, too. The news in this deal is that Yanmar is going to be selling tractors produced by TYM.

Interesting, I see this as a good thing for tractor consumers.

This should be a good thing and I hope Yanmar offers a good mid-size compact tractor between the YT235 and the YT/YM347. It’s a big jump between those models going from a 63in to a 75in wheelbase. Yanmar needs a good 70in wheelbase offering with HST and about 3000lb bare tractor weight.
