Morning all, 40-->50 and the sun is back
Had to drop son and friend off in Doylestown, decided to drop by a few bars.
First one very nice but pricey, good band playing irish music.
Second one packed and lots of fun before we picked up the kids and headed home.

Watched "a man called Ove" last week, and "a man called Otto" this week.
The Ove one done in Sweden was much better.

Deer ate my purple flowers in both beds, ....as expected.....

Will see what I do today, probably pull the driveway markers. Too windy for spraying.

Be well,

Deer won't eat these or the vincas, which are everywhere along the driveway and road.

We saw the "Otto" months ago but the forced Hollywood scenes ruined it, (the book was not like the Otto movie). Where did you see the "Ove"?

I think Ove was on Prime and Tubi.
None of the BS scenes in that one and more connectivity to each scene and better build up

66°F and no rain.

Guys won H&F last night. My corned beef and cabbage was excellent.

Off to Home Depot this morning. Major project ahead this summer is to repaint the house. I have a one time use 10% discount coupon so I’m going to buy paint, the white trim paint today.

Also need to refill my diesel cans

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

24°F and very windy this morning, only going up to 34° today. Wind chill was 10° when I walked out to feed the chickens. May have put away the Carhartts a bit too soon.

Yesterday was the youngest stepson's birthday. He came by with his girlfriend for dinner. Wife made the usual corned beef and cabbage, and an angel food cake with fresh strawberries and whipped cream to top. Delicious. No green beer.

Wife has an old friend staying with us this weekend. She asked her to make a quick t-shirt quilt for the retiring owners of the restaurant she works for, so The Wife told her she it would go much faster if she'd help. Plan is to get everything cut and prepped and the top sewn together today, then quilt it and close it tomorrow. I'm on my laptop upstairs and at the other end of the house, staying out of their way. May work on some string music transcriptions, which I haven't done for far too long. Probably also a nap in my near future.

Too cold and windy to get much done outside today. A little warmer and less windy tomorrow, so I may get out in the garage to do some more organizing (re: sorting and throwing stuff away). Horizontal surface mining, I believe is the accepted phrase.

Good morning, gents. (barely still morning here)

I think RNG accidentally left the door open.....
From the weather we've been having this year, it's pretty clear that the hinges are busted and the door is missing. Even down here, four of the next ten days have rain in 'em.

Good Morning!!!! 60F in Lompoc, CA this morning. Partly cloudy skies this morning will become overcast during the afternoon. High 68F. Winds SSE at 10 to 15 mph.

Caught another Starlink launch from Vandenberg yesterday. This time they gave a four hour launch window instead of an exact time, so I was messing around inside when the rumble started. By the time I made it outside, the rocket was above the clouds and out of sight. But that didn't stop the windows rattling and the dog freaking out. :ROFLMAO:

I'm such a bone head. Mechanic told me yesterday he put 15 quarts of oil in the Ford and it started right up. One of the high pressure oil lines was loose, and was spraying all over the engine compartment. I'd tried to check them before getting it towed, but couldn't get to them with the wrenches I had. Anyway, when the oil pickup started sucking air, it lost high pressure oil and the fuel injectors stopped firing. Good design to save fools like me. He's working on the differential seal today and I hope he doesn't find anything else wrong with it.

Looks like we're headed to the beach today to run the dog and see what the storms have washed up.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Good afternoon, guys. Morning started off with a nice snow storm and snow squall warnings, so the in-laws canceled their plans to come up this morning. So the wife and I headed to the dump and then to the hardware store in Dwight to pick up some three-way switches so I can fix what’s going on in the basement.

The snow looked real nice with big giant flakes coming down, but it stopped now.

Have to take the tractor and blow the driveway and a big area of the lawn over at the rental property as well, so I can get my 5‘ x 10‘ trailer out. I need to put my 8’ Outlander Max ATV on it, because I lost the key! And I have to bring it to the dealer to get a new key programmed. Bummer! More than an hour drive each way. Fortunately, it looks like they will do it while I will wait. Will have to push it up onto the trailer because of course, I have no key to start it with. I could take it in the box of the pick up truck, but of course, that is way higher, and it will be hard enough to get this thing on the trailer as it is.

Anything that can go wrong will go wrong. I had the key in my pocket, and I had to pull out my gloves, and I think that the key came with it, after which I blew snow, so who knows where the heck it is now! Doesn’t that just rot your socks? I am getting in fact two keys, so I can lose one more yet. Maybe in the spring when the snow melts I will find the key sitting on the lawn somewhere. Then I will have three!

Have a nice day, everyone!

Do you have a metal detector?

Wife did not get Plaxlovid, nurse said she was not high risk and her healthy immune system should take care of the virus.
Not having to take that medicine is a blessing in itself. I have read it’s nasty stuff. Hope you both get well soon!

Good morning! 44˚F, heading to the mid 50s, partly cloudy. Wife did not get Plaxlovid, nurse said she was not high risk and her healthy immune system should take care of the virus. Her fever spikes at night. I feel OK just waiting for it to pass and get a negative test.
Glad their improvement for both Don...take it easy folks.

Good morning! Low of 18°, heading to 35°. Partly cloudy. We ended up with 9" of snow, according to the 'official' guessers. They sure missed the mark.... must be taking lessons from LFN's guessers.
Could your 'official' guessers be long distance cousins to our guessers. ;)

That warrant is a big deal. Russia will continue to have sanctions until they comply with the warrant and all member countries are to arrest him in their country, so not much traveling for Putin.
It is a big deal for sure.

Good (Sunday) morning. Overnight Low of 14C and it's presently down to 13.8C, overcast, calm, with a fine mist (can't really call it rain).

Lovely warm 'Summer's day' for early Autumn yesterday.

I'm off to Church in a half hour then the rest of the day is His.

That's about it, take care all.

Just don’t send it line voltage! I assure you that the smoke will come out of it…..
Precisely metered amounts of “blue smoke” run everything these days. . .

Normally, when someone uses the phrase “the wheels have come off” it is a bad thing.

Not in this case:

shaft looks ok Kilroy. (y)

had a nice healthy salad for dinner with some chicken on top, and just chilling out.
off tomorrow morning to Front Royal VA, ready as I'm going to be.
Cold morning tomorrow though, in 20's but that will be the last cold morning for awhile.
Weather should be clear and Sunday morning traffic light on PA Turnpike to Harrisburg and then down 81 a pretty good ways.
Right lane with cruise on 65, life in the proverbial slow lane. If it's windy on 81 in the mountains, I'll slow down to 60.
I have memories of the semis on 81 blowing past me 10-15mph over and pushing my first motorhome to the right. That was even boxier and more
like a sailboat than this one.

plants are watered, hot tub set on 70, got Volvo put away in garage.

RS, are you making sawdust tonight?
