Good morning!!!!

   / Good morning!!!! #167,572
Had breakfast with the crew at a new place, a pizza place that does breakfast only on the weekends. Very good, very crowded. Only 3 miles past the usual place, and close to Lowe’s and harbor freight. I stopped at both to get wood filler and some paint brushes.
Sleepy now, but need to fill the wood holes.

46F and sunny @ 13:00, heading up to around 58F for the high.

Got hopper, two tube and two suet feeders refilled + cracked corn scattered on ground for ground feeders yesterday. Also two buckets of whole corn into deer feeder. Still had corn in the feeder and on the ground this morning so browse opportunities must be improving.

Daffodils going strong, poor arborvitae that got completely de-limbed by falling ash tree in center of photo:

Woman picked up more sticks while I was doing that, waiting for me to pull the codes on Her car. It was P0171 (again), reset it and it has not come back on (yet)

Fairly productive day up in the shop.

Had to open the man door at several points when the inside temp was >85F.

Cleaned inside of saw cabinet and got all the contact cement in there removed:

Then hit the exterior one last time with polishing/rubbing compound, cleaned up fairly well although the finish is not perfect:

Could probably improve it further ... if I wanted to spend more time on it (which I don't ... :giggle: )

Decided on rear of saw as mounting location for metal enclosure, got it temporarily mounted to figure out wiring lengths and runs:

Used the 10-3 cabling that came with the saw for the runs for power out to the switch and back to the VFD:

There will be one more cable that comes through that cutout in the back of the cabinet to feed 3 phase to the motor from the VFD.

Got switch box for power to VFD installed would have gotten it all wired up/completely installed too ... but I ran out of ring terminals in the size I needed:

Yellow cord is a 220v extension cord I made up that I'm considering lopping off a section of to use to wire the On/Off paddle switch to turn the saw itself on and off. Not sure if it will work (may be too big), as VFD manual calls for wire diameter of 0.52mm for external controls ... which seems awfully small to me (28 gauge ?)

Will need to run down to the hardware later for some items, possibly a trip to Menards as well.

Hope everyone is having a good Saturday ... (y)

Great job RS. I"d have electrocuted myself by now...

speaking of electrocution, well let's be kind, shocking...
after proudly showing Ken my new strawberries, two of the new plants had been seriously chomped last night.
War
Back out comes the solar fence and after untangling a huge knot I put in it storing it, and basically putting away a mess,
I knew paybacks were coming when I hauled out that tangled mess of plastic poles and fabric/metal wiring. One by one I took them all apart
and after much fiddling, used 100 percent of the wire again for another year. I had put the base/solar panel out for a few hours, and sure enough, red light
blinking that it was zapping away. So far it has a perfect record, though this year I'll have to use bird netting on the berries.

The blackberries grow like such weeds that within a month I'll have to turn off the electric fence. But by then, tender noses will have been zapped
and painful lessons learned. The blackberries and later the tomato plants take over their area and more. So the white fabric helps to support them, actually does double duty.
that's the plan, a full month of education provided by a teacher with a big stick. DZZZZZTTTT
rated for 25 miles, has plenty of output....

whatever critter you were that molested my strawberries, now hear this, stay away or have a bad day

51 today cooler than yesterday

Hauled more gravel over on the ramp and spread it out with the minix blade and compacted by running over it with the tracks.

Cleaned up the area that had been excavated by running over it with the tiller and using the bucket to move the high spots.

Went into town to visit with grandkids. As usual drove the long way home to enjoy the Redbuds and many flowers in bloom.

We are up at a little higher elevation so our Redbuds are just starting to come out. We planted a row of 150 and planted a row of white flowering trees next to them that just now are coming in bloom this year for first time.

RS that saw will be better than new. You are doing a great job restoring it.

RNG I also do my own oil changes and keep records in case I have to prove it. Out of warranty now.

Drew and Ken, good teamwork. Problem went away.

Buppies, hope it heals soon and your skin doctoring goes well

Remember my boss getting a Jaguar E 1965 in forest green and wire wheels. I thought this was the most beautiful car in the world.

Always try to use attachments mounted already especially the 3 points that take more efforts to change. So using the tiller mounted already made sense to loosen up the clay soil and then back drag it with bucket to level where needed.
