Agreed.Tybee island is pretty cool to visit to if your out that way and still has old fortifications from many years before, Visited the Yorktown CV 10 when I was in Charleston very interesting if you like WW2 history. Fort Sumter where the first shots in the civil war were fired is out that way to.
Perhaps odd, but I also love walking around in the cemeteries in both cities and reading the headstones. In some aspect, parts of Boston has the same history, but just something different feeling down south. I had to look after making that comment. Charleston and Savanah combined is less than half of Boston's population. Perhaps thats it LOL
