There is a Battleship museum across the river in Camden.
We had an overnight with scouts on the battleship NJ.
The kids had fun climbing in the guns and wandering the controls and loading areas.

There weren't many places they couldn't go.

That sounds like a great scout outing fortunate to tour the "mighty mo" in pearl harbor off topic but I was also lucky enough to talk with a active duty Sr. Chief 20 yrs ago who actually served on the Missouri in the early 90s claimed most modern anti ship missiles might scratch the paint with a lucky shot on the Missouri or any Iowa class bbs armor belt. Lol. Very fortunate they didn't scrap some of those old ships and groups took the time to preserve, maintain and repurpose them as floating museums.

Apparently from a brief search on the googler, all 4 Iowa class battleships built during WW2 are still around and all are floating museums. I recommend anyone that likes naval history or history in general go tour one.

Don't forget Gary, IN. Make sure you're off the street after dark and wear your body armor.
Great Place, first murder I ever witnessed happened there in 1975. Definitely just stay away from there.
Was working in Houston, Texas in the early 90's and they set a record for the most murders in a US city in a week while I was there. It was another stay off the street after dark location.

On the East coast, Washington DC is a great experience with the Smithsonian museums, monuments, Capital, Library of Congress, National Archives, and with side trips to Mount Vernon, and Charlottesville to see Monticello.

Seems to me, people should stay away from you! Murders happen in your vicinity.
:)
