It’s a long shot, but is there any possibility that the plug wires are switched? I’d be surprised if they would reach the wrong cylinder, but it’s worth asking…
Check for spark by connecting plug and holding it against engine and crankno, they are too short. Engine is low hours too
I tried the old plugs and still ran badly. I guess I broke a wire pulling it off, as carefully as I could
