One thing I forgot to mention is that the Kx33-4 use the diesel engine that does not need pollution controls which was why I did not go bigger when I got it. The complications of emissions crap they put on the diesels is something to avoid if you can.
A definite plus - my first car was a 75 Impala, with the massive 145hp 350CI V8… which had better tailpipe emissions when I removed all the emissions junk AND got far better mileage, with more power. Win/Win.

It is slow driving it to another location. That is the same for all mini x machines. If you need it further away you need to trailer it.
Wish it had longer boom reach which goes with wanting bigger machine. Somewhat difficult to climb into cab.
Use it to push over trees and dig up tree stumps and does that well. Again bigger machine would do it even better and faster. Also pick up piles and stumps and branches it does really well. Can lift long trees and transport lenghtwise without cutting up the tree.
Changed the thumb to one better for lifting trees. Have the regular digging bucket I think 18 inch and a 36 inch bucket. and that has worked well. Wish I had the swivel 36 inch bucket to ditch clean up. Wish it had the 6 way blade which is good for working slopes. Need more comments let me know
I am guessing the thumb has a more pronounced curve?

I do not see that option on my Mac pc
First make sure you're in the Finder with a window that shows the file you're trying to change. Click on the file name to select all the text in the file name, then click again which will select all the characters to the left of the peroid. Click once more to the right of the 'e' you want to delete to position the cursor in the text field . Then hit the delete key. Click outside the text field to save the change.

Yes the dealer put on an after market one that was straight and I made him change it to the Kubota thumb which has the curve in it. He was trying to put one over on me I think

Good Morning
It’s 52 with a forecast high of 72. High overcast now, rain late In the day.

Yesterday was another busy day. Spent more time than I should have with the self service fuel system at the airport. There isn’t much more that I can do at my end, I did discover the root of the connectivity issue and fixed it, but there seems to be issues on the application side which is a vendor issue. At any rate I was working on that when I should have been working on Drew’s motor home.
I got the customs paperwork for tomorrow’s Bahamas trip taken care of, trimmed a batch of low limbs with the pole saw, cleaned up the ensuing mess, chased the string trimmer around, and got things put away in time to do a little RC flying by the end of the day.

Not sure what I’ll get into today, but there seems to be no shortage of things to keep me occupied.

Thank you!

do you have hydraulic/manual QA? Or pin-on?

right now, I am not worried about a bigger machine, as my current excavator is the Mark I Model I Armstrong Earth Mover:

I have the pin on and it works really well for me. The cost of hydraulic was not worth it to me that being useful for commercial applications changing implements frequently

So I can save on that and get an additional bucket instead.

what size buckets do you use? I am thinking of a 12” and a 24”…

Coffee finished brewing. 43° with light rain this morning. Heading to 51° with more rain. Did not get to mower blades again. Did a lot of of planning for when better weather arrives. Did pull some Dandelions during a break in rain. More of the same today.
Will not be long and trees will be fully leafed out.

Everyone stay well and safe.

Good Morning All.
Ron- Thanks for sharing your squirrel picture. I believe our resident black squirrel became a bobcat's dinner. I saw one catch a red squirrel near our bird feeders a couple of weeks ago..

An overcast drizzly 43ºF for this morning's low temperature. It was an uneventful trip to the "Transfer Station." These conditions continue and it is now 44ºF. I expect these conditions to continue through the day with an afternoon high temperature ~70ºF with increasing chances for rain as the day progresses and then rain, rain, and rain which is really needed around here. It looks like next week will see daily rain showers until the weekend.
My game cam has been videoing turkeys, coy-wolf/dogs, foxes all Winter long and this week it videoed a bear, possum, and last night a porcupine in addition to the regular visitors.
