Thanks for all the BD wishes! Yes it was a pleasant quiet event. Had a Reeses' peanut butter ice cream cake. Delicious! (But not nutritious). I limited myself to one piece.

Did get all the appointments, grocery shopping, and cut list done. The wind kicked up again today, due to a big cold front coming in after midnight.
Yes, we have a chance of SNOW early in the morning. I think this is Ron's fault..... talking about the white stuff earlier this week..

Supposed to drop to 26°.... not good for the now bloomed fruit trees and flowers. Then by Saturday afternoon, it will be back up in the high 60's. Crazy temp swings.

Twas a warmish day today at 53°F. Going up to 65 tomorrow.
Got the driveway graded and some of the new pitrun laid onto it. Tomorrow is the BH. Then open up my culvert. I may knock down a few trees as well.
I am slowly getting my job list whittled down.

I called my foreman today and it may not be until the second week of June before I go Northwest.

Gives you some time to study the manuals. Hope you have cordless grease gun you will need it. The service requirements are surprisingly easy. The important first service is changing the gear oil on the track motors at 50 hrs

We got the lot mowed today. Left late, didn’t get there till 12:30, but almost 3 hrs on the BX got it done.
The best news is the neighbor that last year mowed 300 yds onto our land, is now mowing to the line. I drove rebar next to the corner pin on my side, and put pvc pipe over it so I can see it.

This is bottom side of lot where we will probably build.

The mower blades were terribly dull, so not a great cut, but it’s cut. Taking the BX back to my house to do some maintenance on it.
We planted daffodils at the corners where the septic area is marked, in case the stakes get damaged again.

Good (Friday) morning. Overnight Low of 11.6C and it's presently 20.2C, light wind. It was rain-cloudy this early morning and now it's partly cloudy... there was 4.8mm in the gauge at 0900.

Last evening's meeting was very 'productive' although it was sad to discover that the Thai menu items have been discontinued, probably due to it being Autumn and tourism/demand has seasonally declined. Still, I enjoyed a lamb shank on mashed spuds. Heck, I even ate all of my veggies!

I need to head over to Pyengana and pick up some cheese for another meeting tomorrow (raffle prizes). Early morning start to reach that meeting on time. I'll probably check in here to TBN later that day.

Although I've got some dental floss, I haven't used it in ages because I've converted to "Piksters" interdental brushes. They come in different sizes and are 'reusable'. They honestly work great and my plaque is practically zero. I also use a Braun "Oral B" electric toothbrush.

Good evening all. 55ºF for the start, overcast, light drizzle, .6 inch in rain gauge, light breeze. Sky would vary from mostly cloudy to solid overcast , periods of drizzle, moderate wind. and high temp 63ºF. Bike maintenance to start day, front derailleur almost frozen, got it loosened up, and adjusted. Tweaked cleat position. Bike ride after lunch, Shifting much better, ran into heavy drizzle and stopped for an hour, then was able to finish ride. Did get nap in.
David not surprising rice is as important as it is in Hawaii. Neat story

Poured first cup of coffee. 42° with partly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 53° with rain and wind. Grocery shopping went well. Was going to change oil and filter in JD mower. Before mowing grass. Not enough oil and no filter on shelf. Ordered them both from Amazon. Did not stop me from mowing grass.
Cleanup crew did a good job under feeders. Not sure what I will do today yet.

Happy Belated Hatch Day!

Timing was a big thing: Kubota had a 0/0 Deal until the end of April. I need to go back north on some family stuff for about a week, and Mrs will be staying with the dog and chickens and getting Spring Cleaning done without me underfoot, plus other miscellany. So it made sense to pull the trigger now and take delivery when we are ready to work in earnest, instead of having the machine sit unattended at the wood lot with arms fretting about it.

land I did without it this long, a little more won’t hurt!
