Good morning!!!!

Good Morning!!!! 55F @ 11:30AM here in Lompoc, CA. Considerable clouds this morning. Some decrease in clouds later in the day. High 59F. Winds NW at 15 to 25 mph.

Good to see the spring flowers all over the country, and the beautiful photos from across the nation.

Welcome new guys!

Way behind now, but it sounds like someone got a new mini-ex? Congrats!

Tonight I'll be following up on a new listing we checked out on Saturday, talking to a contractor about adding another 800 sq. ft. to the garage, either by lengthening it or building a new structure in the back yard. The home is older, built in '59, so it'll need some electrical and plumbing updates as well. Nice quarter acre lot, quiet neighborhood except for some home improvement projects going on. No rap music, in fact, no loud noises at all during our first visit. A few RVs parked out on the street, a few obvious rental properties with two foot high grass, but otherwise a very nice neighborhood. Walking distance (half mile) to groceries, restaurants, gas, and what turned out to be a pretty good second hand record store. Got out of there empty handed because I forgot my phone in the car, but I'll be back!

Years ago I picked up a Harbor Freight metal detector to find a lost tool, then put it away on a high shelf when it didn't help. Brought it along this trip and we took it out to a local beach to see what we could find. Tested it with a penny, which was only good to a few inches deep, and didn't get any other hits except when the loop touched the sand. But it was nice to get out and watch the waves and birds. Lunch was at Panda Express, and my buddy paid so it tasted extra good.

Back at home, it looks like the stucco man had trouble with the gate, and instead of unhooking the opener, just forced it open. It's been stuck that way over the weekend, and so far I've seen one car that went through, traveled down to the pump house, and then turned around and left. I've expressed my concern to the contractor for the security of the property, but so far he's been unresponsive. Just another mess to clean up once I get home tomorrow.

Hope everyone's week gets off to a great start!

Well, I have keys, and a manual, and a stack of papers, and a payment book, I don’t get the mini-ex until mid-May due to prior travel and other commitments.

So, it is more like “getting” than “got”
😂🤣😂

Windy and colder and occasional light drizzle today. Not pleasant for much outside but managed to plant 12 Blue Carpet Phlox for wife and watered them in.
Doctor said that the shoulder is as good as it is going to get and at my age he would not want to risk making it worse with surgery. Have good mobility now after the PT but he said hammering with that hand should be avoided as well as any heavy lifting. Told him age is just number but he was not convinced somehow. Using the lefty more much as I hate it is the plan. Light weight exercises only for the right side.

Fortunately equipment operations can continue now with more importance than before

I recently invested in two Stiletto titanium hammers due to my carpal tunnel.

They take a bit of getting used to… I am Not there yet..

I never heard of these kind of hammers before and at ~$100(US) they are not cheap, but I should be looking into getting one for similar reasons. Which brings to mind a quote from a former client from many years past- "One does not age gracefully, nor well." (after she was stopped by city police for driving her motorized wheelchair unsafely in a rather busy street). And thanks for the laugh.:ROFLMAO:

You have to grow old.

You do not have to grow up.

Was able to use the DeWit hoe because it is nice and light and with 6 ft long handle and it works well being sharp made of hand forged steel from Holland.
