Good morning!!!!

Good morning, the low is 45 and going to a high of 66°F. Wind light and variable. Zero % of precipitation. Partly sunny.

I have some PITA trees (4" and less) that need to die. I am going to try and dig them out today. If I can get them out stump and all, then I can shove them back into the bush to rot and make habitat for the rabbits.

Kilroy, you ARE a dreamer. :ROFLMAO:

Have a safe day all
Those directions are written by some dude in the factory with ALL the tools, a level & flat concrete slab floor, all the toys, and no corrosion on the threads.

they’d cry like little b!t*hes out in the dirt when it is drizzling and 34F and the sun is going down… but you’d get an accurate job duration estimate!

Good Morning.
It’s 50 and going to high 60’s today under sunny skies.

Yesterday was generally a nice day, did get a few brief showers in the afternoon, but only .001” accumulation.
I did get a lot accomplished, starting with service call, hooked up Progressive mower when I got back, and made a few passes by the time Drew arrived with his RV. My grandson was my helper for the RV work as well as the mowing. The grass was pretty wet, but mowed better than I expected, some clumping, but not awful.

I think that I wore my helper out, he actually took a nap while I hopped on the Lazer and did the fence lines and trimming.

But we got all the mowing done except inside the small pastures, I’ll let the alpacas work on that for a while. Got all the wet clippings blown off the powers, parked the Progressive and put the Lazer and Kubota away before Son came up and we flew RC before dinner.

Mostly, would it make sense to get another pulley with a 1” bore rather than a different engine? Or bore the old pulley and broach the keyway deeper, assuming that it’s keyed.

Good morning!

God has given us another chance to get it right (or at least not screw up too badly).

51.4 F, maybe hitting 70. Forecast has changed from rainy all day to mostly cloudy all day.

likely will take Bailey up to woodlot later if it stays dry.

Boot Camp sent an email for balance due, which we paid (AmEx) Wednesday. We are paid up-to-date, problem is on their end. If they screw this up and Harry cannot go, we will sic AmEx on them for the full a,pint - we don’t want to hear about the “nonrefundable deposit of 50%” when it is their screwup.

nothing is ever easy…

back pain is significantly reduced this morning, more discomfort than actual pain, I can be (cautiously) functional today.

I hope everyone has a happy healthy safe blessed day!

My breakfast crew bailed on me today. They picked grand kid baseball games over breakfast.
Not much will get done, since nothing was planned.

My BH92 is a bear to remove, only because of 1 pin that doesn’t line up straight, mfg defect. I have to beat it out and in. The other pin comes right out.
The BX BH is easy to get on and off, although 1st time I put it on, there was a cotter pin holding the top latch from locking. I had to discover that. Watched a couple dolly videos, think I’ll make one for it.

Morning all, 52 going up to 70 and sunny.
Finished planting the Forsythia, all 25, while the rain kept hitting here.
Finally got something done !

Today off to Brewfest on the river with a bunch of friends and then to a Kentucky Derby party. Hopefully it's not as muddy as last year. Not sure how much I will get done tomorrow.

Alien - good to see you back and sorry to hear about your ailments. How are your hands doing, did the operations help?

Mostly so close yet so far. I guess no way to modify engine to work? Hope you find a suitable replacement

KC - glad back is getting better

I have a wood dolly for my backhoe, it takes a while to swap since everything for the 3pt needs to fold up etc. but building my dolly certainly helps. I need to keep the BH on for a while to move some tree trunks then it's time for the flail and forks to move the branches and rocks.

Be well,

Good morning, 51 going to 70 today with partly could conditions.

Alien, hope it gets better for you going forward. I am slowly changing my outlook to be happy for what I can do versus what I can not do. So far I have not had many limitations even at my age and getting used to some limitations whatever minor they may be compared to many of you is not an easy process for me anyway. Buppies, Kilroy and others ailing hope for speedy recovery.

David, good luck with your welding practice. LNG taken the BH off and on was a process I hated and using a BH from a skid steer that I adapted to the MF tractor made it especially tedious.

My shoulder feels better this morning so some progress but not to make it worse by overdoing things is now the issue to be cautious about.
Setting the heavy fence poles may be a problem so today will look at using the mini-x to pick up the pole by the end and lift it into position without having to manhandle it.

Watching coronation this morning fantastic ceremony. The Royals are in for a change as the younger generation grows up as has happen to other royals in Europe.

Good Morning!!!! 48F @ 5:30AM. Cloudy with periods of rain. High 63F. Winds SE at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 100%. Rainfall around a half an inch.
Picked up a quarter inch of rain overnight, the first in quite a while.

Contractors showed up yesterday to pressure wash the house prior to painting next week, and also finished installation of the chimney cap and spark arrester. Didn't really need the heat, but got a fire going in the wood stove, and noticed it's not drawing as well as it used to. I suspect debris somehow got into the fresh air vent to the outside. Maybe need to get in there with a shop vac and see what comes out.

Not sure about this, Jay, but videos need to be hosted at a site like YouTube, then linked to using the stacked photo icon in the tool bar. At least that's what works for me...

Took a swipe at getting the VW running yesterday, and confirmed that the fuel pump isn't running. It's only getting about five volts, so there's a bad connection somewhere along the line. Didn't have time to pursue if further, but I know where to look next.

Hope everyone enjoys their weekend!

home again, soaked in sweat after two hours of weeding and mulching.
Lots of younger parents showed up, time for them to finish it. Was fun with a lot of kids running around, helping to shovel
the mulch. Had to be careful around them, almost got beaned with a shovel.

some of the parents naturally asked who I was. When I told them I went to school there in 1955, well before any of them were born..., made for
fun discussions. Lots of talented gardeners making flower pots and just making the place look pretty.

I left all my tools there and will pick them up on way back from church later this afternoon.
An act of faith all by itself...

my hands and wrists are screaming from the weeding, time to chill

had to chuckle looking at Paul's/Popgadget's picture.
If you look down the lane, you will see where driveway takes a hard left.
No sight distance at all and yesterday I met the DIL coming out the lane while I was going in, and I could
see she wasn't looking my way at all, but rather looking at her own home straight ahead.
I had to sit on the horn, she stopped in plenty of time, though her eyes went wide and we both started laughing.

Popgadget's grandson is a ball of energy, when he's not sleeping in grandpop's lap. He would go into the machine shop there and bring out a tool
for inspection, like a dog showing you his toy. I think the handle for a lathe came out. And a piece of wire, and something else, all totally unrelated, just basically
because Luca though they were neat and good stuff with play with/learn about from Grandpa.
