Bill- You got me thinking - Thanks. The Blue Jay's limited body fat makes sense especially considering variable available food resources each year.

HIPPA regulations are part of the problem for discussing patient issues, but the hospitals have no problem whatsoever throwing out an ICD code # for a treatable i.e. reimbursable diagnosis (and # of treatment days allowed). Protecting the confidentiality rights of a patient prevents information sharing with the patient's care givers.

Good morning! Low of 36°, heading up to 75°. Unfortunately, high wind warning for today / tonight. Up to 60 mph gusts.... now saying windy for tomorrow too, but slightly less gusty at 40 mph.

I'll put up with the wind this time, just because it's bringing in moisture and good chances for good rains this weekend. I bet that will change.....

I had to do a quick errand yesterday, and spotted a Blue Atlas Cedar tree in the nursery..... We had 2 over at the old house which became a real 'statement' in the landscape. Told the wifey about them being about 5' tall and only $40..... Guess what has to get planted?

Considering that I saw some at HD last fall, at over $100, couldn't resist.
It will replace a Crepe Myrtle by the pond that didn't make it through the winter.

Will get that tree planted, and maybe a a couple of smaller flowers (if requested by wifey). --- all depends on the arrival of the winds.....

The ACE hardware man only worked on Stihl chainsaws and referred me to two other shops in town. Both had a 6-8 weeks waiting period before they would ba able to look at it. So I took it home with a new determination and found and replaced a hidden severed fuel line. No leaking fuel and is running good now, so I don't have to pull the trigger on a $329 EGO for volunteer work.

@KilroyJC - something I did when learning to run an excavator, and a technique I taught to green operator, was to use your fingers. Most people grip the controls with their hands. I find using your fingers gives you more ”feel”. 40+ years later, I still generally use my fingers unless I am hogging dirt.

Interesting morning so far. About an hour after the paint crew got started, in waltzes the old stucco guy and starts in like he's going back to work. The foreman spots him, calls the boss, and the boss tells the foreman to fire the stucco guy. An hour after that, a crew of four in two pickup trucks shows up and starts ripping down all the work the old stucco guy did. Said this is the third job of his they've had to fix this month! The paint guys got the base color on the back of the house yesterday, so the new stucco crew's timing is perfect. Back to making progress. Finally.

So far this afternoon slow poking around since no wood has been deliver,not plans for the evening just grill some spicy meatballs for spaghetti etc.,than feet up on the deck.
