Good morning!!!!

this looks pretty dreadful but hold that thought, waiting three hours to sand.
they included these cute little 4 inch sanding disks. Too bad my sander is a 5.
I have the 320, but not 600. Will use my 400 wet sanding first, then switch to final pass by hand
with wet 600.

this is the underlayment, a 10 to 1 epox mix. Will be sanded later today.
Then the next coat is a biscuit colored finish mix that will cover all of this.
this stuff was surprisingly goopy and runny on a vertical surface, but soaked in well with remaining fibers.
besides I hear this repair guy gives a one hundred year warranty.

Good morning! Low of 49°, heading towards 77°. Mostly sunny, some high clouds. 20% chance of a sprinkle.

Sister arrived about 17:00. Made the burgers / dogs which were good. Our son and 2 GS's came over and met them, of course they joined us for dinner.

Sis and BIL want to take in some sights, no sure if we will be accompanying them or not. They only have today to do all the "touristy" things....

Dennis, yes, 'Maggies Diner' was just a display for a couple years. Now it's a gift shop, set up in the 'diner' setting. It never was a "real" diner, so probably too costly to actually make it into one.

Drew, some unsolicited advice: take your time on the repair ---- slow and steady. Thin layers built up, as smooth and neat as possible. Fill in voids a little at a time. Try to make it so minimal sanding required.

Got 90% of the gravel spread, maybe 2-3 tons left. There is a specific area the remaining gravel belongs, but I still have to prep that area. Sometime this week.....

Today's agenda is to get that strawberry planter filled. I still have to run drip to 2 other planters, might attempt to get that done today. I'm down to just "cut-offs" of the main supply tubing, so might not have long enough pieces.

Everyone have a great day!

Finally, tin work done. Big 1/2" Makita drill punched all the remaining holes and never broke one drill bit. Hosed off the trough where the wood chain runs, lots of tamarack needles congregated there over the fall and winter. Stuffed it back where it will live until next fall when I put the firewood in the basement. V-plow got a new home for the summer. Got some compost put into the ruts in the north field and smoothed out somewhat. I will let that grow and go to seed. The Thermacell bug repeller did a good job of keeping the bugs away. It is available at Home despot and amazon if any of you guys are interested.
As for deer and rabbits, I have heard that Vicks Vapo rub works with both of them BUT you gotta keep re-applying it.
The rest of the day is all mine. You tube rabbit hole here I come.

I only have one Milwaukee M12 grease gun, but it’s all I need. If it broke or got lost I’d have a new one the next day.
I always wanted the M3 grease gun 😎

I'd say it's fair-sized ... maybe 30 or 40 gallons ?

Definitely not RNG-sized though ... ;)

Yeah, we have talked about it.

Currently, that would have to be over at the barn ... since the house has no gutters at the moment.

Might be worth checking into what a used 275 or 330 gallon IBC tote costs ...

Just looked on Craig's List ... 275 gallon @ $75 each - used once, material they contained was considered "non-toxic", can provide paperwork.

A couple of those would provide a good amount for summer watering.

And is certainly a lot cheaper than a new well pump ... ;)

Still doesn't entirely resolve my situation though: Woman can be washing dishing and cleaning, start a load of wash, and then flush the toilet ... after having just taken a shower ...
I recently purchased four 275gal IBCs for $100 each, they had cornstarch in them (food grade). Craigslist it helpful!

Good (Belated) Mornng!

God has given us another chance to get it right (or at least not screw up too badly).

Currently 63.3F, going up not much more, afternoon rain forecasted has been changed to cloudy, radar seems to confirm mostly dry the rest of the day, which is good because Harry Houdini Hound is scheduled to return any minute now! Hence the delay with the morning post, tasks had to be accomplished.

Right now, I have a 15lb Turkey defrosting to go over charcoal tomorrow. I like turkey on Memorial Day, because I am thankful for those who made the ultimate sacrifice for us. A day for giving thanks, as it were…

The second fig tree got planted, I need to cut up two trees that I pushed over and I need to drop a couple more, and then I will attempt turning some soil with the Ferguson two-disk, probably in another week or so.

I hope everyone has a happy healthy safe blessed day!
