Appears there are 2 kinds of connections...anyone know what kind come with the factory steel line kit for the 494 series? Need to provide lines for the grapple we have coming and want to make sure we have the right size.

Thanks.

Not sure but would think you can specify the size. I would request 1/2 pioneer ag style. They are easily found at any farm store when one needs replaced.

It's not the "lines" that you need to match, it's the actual quick-connects that are on the grapple. Right?

I'd verify the size that's being provided on the grapple. If it's up to you to specify, then the most common size mentioned above would be my choice.

You'll also want to install your ends so that the grapple opens / closes in the right direction when you push the 3rd function button. (Easy to swap later if they're reversed or just swap the two ends on the grapple.)

Thanks guys....sent an email to the dealer requesting the pioneer ends...the grapple does not yet have any hoses, so I guess we can use what we want? Is there any standard out there for send and return vs male and female?

This is what came on mine without any input from me...for what it's worth.

They are metal further up...along the arms is metal. The joint has to be flexible.

I don’t understand why tractor manufacturers just don’t use the same connectors used on skid steer equipment. Since most implements can be used on both. Just makes sense.

That's the WR Long 3rd function kit, factory uses hard lines for most of the way.

My bad, I forgot Big Tex preferred this kit and it cost a little less.
