Looks like a beautiful morning out there, but my wx station is down. Must have disturbed something when messing in the cabinet.

Exterior (outside fence) areas all mowed (flailed). Just need to finish up inside with BX and Scag.

CL guy was no show on free TV pickup. On to next guy. It’s ready to come off the wall.

Off to Hilo shortly for Sophie’s ophthalmologist appointment. Need to refill diesel as well.

Made a Costco run this morning.
Concrete crews shortening the ends of parking islands. Not sure what that will accomplish.
Gas prices here lot higher than southern VA.
They still doing the card inspections. They told guy ahead of me to get a new picture without a mask on.
Nothing much planned for today. Hot out.

Brothers operation delayed to the 25th, some complications.

So my son came home from work and told me one of his coworkers got fired for stealing from the register.

They had film of her removing the money, my son was there, but not watching or realizing.
Spent some time telling him about people and how it's not his fault for not catching her and luckily they had film of her doing the theft.

She could have made his first job his first firing.

This life lesson was thankfully not as painful as it could have been...

86 going to 90 today

Went up and cleaned up around the fallen tree and soon realized that lacking access for the tractor that was too hard and hot so went down and brought up the x changed bucket to one with teeth to be able to rake. Used that to gather up branches and move them over in the pile. All cleaned up now.

Then used the x to dig up a few rocks that turned up to be pretty big. May use them in the creek for erosion protection

If I had more pluming to do will look into the pex tools and fittings

Different experience than Ron and RNG on Prime.
Replaced my deteriorating Coleman and Igloo coolers cheaper than I can find locally. Also got Sophie a new Applewatch 8 to replace her banged up 5. Haven’t told her yet as she has been resistant. Also got Eufy 2c Pro camera bundle to replace the old cameras removed during painting. These are supposed to be Homekit compatible. Also a new office chair, mesh this time to replace the faux leather one from Costco that is in perpetual shed mode.
Should be enough. Unfortunately, my bed shopping came up dry on Amazon. That exercise may drive me to drink (more)

Monday my wife’s phone wouldn’t work when away from the house WiFi. Could not call, text, use data, nothing. I couldn’t find any setting to cause that. Yesterday when we left for VA it still would not work, a call got “network not available”. We both have Verizon, mine had no network issues.
As we got further down I81 her phone started working, could call, text, etc.
no rhyme or reason to why it sometimes won’t work.

85F and partly cloudy @ 13:00, HI 88F, DP 64F, HU 52%, AQI 53. Supposedly 70% chance of thunderstorms this afternoon.

Got all plants in pots watered yesterday first thing.

Then got front lawn mowed.

Noticed quite a few bluebirds flying around while I was doing that so checked mealworm feeder - it was empty so I put out 24 mealworms.

Checked Nest Box No. 3 after that, 2nd crop of bluebirds for the year had all fledged, nest box was empty ...

Undid the top wire on fence around plants in garden so Woman could get in there to water and weed. She never did but I mixed up multiple 2 gallon watering cans with Schulz's Tomato Food and hit all the tomato plants that are planted in the ground. The 8 large plants got 2 gallons apiece, the 2 smaller ones got a gallon each.

Removed large chickenwire cages on the two tomatoes since the monofilament fence seems to be keeping the deer out, also re-staked one plant.

Spread out some screened compost in the garden.

Filled up water buffalo and then made the rounds out front:

1 gallon each on the 8 Rose of Sharon, 4 Butterfly Weeds.

2 gallons on the 2 Burning Bushes, Swamp Milkweed up in front of shop.

4 gallons each on Japanese Cherry, Red Maple, and Tulip trees.

6 gallons on the 2 Peach trees, 1 small Apple tree.

Got gingko tree and the two burning bushes caged with large cages (2' diameter, 4' tall)

Woman did a lot of weeding + sprayed some weeds with vinegar.

Refilled water buffalo.

Baited live trap with some dry cat food then took it over to the barn and set it out.

Ordered a Altec Lansing Rockbox XL Bluetooth speaker to use outside (when not operating motorized equipment), waterproof (IP 67 rated) Should be here next Monday. Supposedly a Prime Day deal.

Now just need to get Woman set up on Pandora with her tunes.

Scheduled some bills for payment.

Meds for this coming week doled out.

Woman heading down to the PO to mail the real estate taxes.

It has been a while since I last posted. Like many in the NE I received quite a bit of rain with that past rain event. I drove down to the "Big City" for supplies as the storm revved up. On the way down Route 9 I slowed down from 50mph to the posted 45mph around a curve where there may be a speed trap. This part of the road is cut through solid bedrock (Goshen Dome basalt) I hydroplaned and corrected 3X in rapid succession in the AWD Maverick. Further down the road I saw that a full size PU hydroplaned off the road going uphill. The Mill River in Williamsburg was starting to overflow its banks. Upon my return there was a TV reported 10" of Mill River water flowing across the highway. Cars that drove into deeper pockets of water stalled out. At one point the road was closed; I do not know when, but I have never seen this much water except one time in early Spring when ice dams formed and flooded the town. The area watershed could not handle the volume of the first and then second rain event. All around this areas the flooding was much worse. This weather pattern that We are/have been in will continue for the foreseeable future.

Anyways I have a clue as to where the membership is "at." My + thoughts and prayers for those dealing with serious challenges and/or their spouses'/familys'. I can relate. Peg has been completely immobilized by Severe Depression and arthritic pain for the past 3 years. At times she is fully cognitively intact and engage-able, but most of the time she watches a muted TV news mix channel or the BoSox and is mute, unresponsive; exhibiting episodic periods of delirium, dementia, and/or organic impairment. From my "biased" and "blind" clinical perspective there are all kinds of processes going on. She will probably "pull it all together" tomorrow for restaurant dining. It is what it is. I take advantage of the +'s and weather the -'s. Focusing on domestic duties does affect what I do outside. Some areas require regular mowing and string trimming and other areas do not. The added benefit of having all kinds of weeds growing around is the attraction it provides to the local wildlife which allows me to "release" through photography. I'll spare you all my firefly pictures so far.

Yep, that’s what I want to change to.

I am very happy with the Milwaukee M12 tool. It does up to 1”. My buddy has the M18 which goes quite a bit larger, but I rarely use those sizes. He wants an M12 after using mine, it’s quite a bit more compact.

I want to redo some water lines, and put in air drop near garage door.

I just ordered Bosch 18v, 1/2” impact for $150. I have Bosch tools but only 1.5AH batteries. The makita is now $329, $100 more than the Milwaukee. .

Yes the M12 is it’s own system. All of my 18v tools are Makita, but I have quite a few Milwaukee m12 tools. So I have just the two battery systems to deal with. The Fence stapler is M18, but I use the Makita batteries with an adapter.

I almost ordered the Milwaukee impact with the adapter. I'll see how the bosch one works first. I figured for the price I'd try it.
I do now have 4 of the 5AH makita batteries with just the chainsaw to use them on.

So needless to say I got the x and put it right back on the neighbors property. Does not look like his tractor moves with weeds growing up around it and since he could not use the front end loader to dump them he now also has stepped down the fence wires so one more thing to fix. This is my trigger happy shooter neighbor that fires off hundreds of shots usually just as it gets dark
