good Morning!

God has given us another chance to get it right (or at least not screw up too badly).

61.2F going to mid 80e, back to afternoon T-storms in forecast.

Filter worked, but I should have purged downstream hoses before hooking up sprinklers…🤬

I have to modify the sprinkler heads by reducing the number of holes and increasing the size of the remaining holes, which will allow fine debris to pass. Getting closer to getting it right… someday 🤣😂

half of my pak Choi is bolting, so there will be seeds for next year!

tomatoes have flowers, started pulling off suckers. Radishes are doing quite well So far. Mystery squashes are still mysterious.

Harry was a bit tired after his Canine Influenza shot, but he is now fully qualified for Doggie Daycare participation.

deposing on how things go, I may set up scaffold in living room and fix the ceiling fan. There is only one working bulb left, and the finial nut is frozen on the globe. Not possible to do on a ladder. One hand to hold the ladder, one hand to hold the pliers, and one hand to steady the fan is beyond my capabilities!

I hope everyone has a happy healthy safe productive blessed day!

65 going to 95, and more humidity than last two days.

Buppies, glad infections gone. Hang in there.

Jay, prayers for you and your wife. Glad you didn't get stuck in the flood.

Sodamo, glad you got the bed solved. I guess to live in paradise, paying for shipping is not too bad, especially since an infrequent purchase. Our current bed was ordered from Costco...one of those bed-in-a-box that expands to size quickly once you cut the plastic wrap...we love it.

Scott, your place is beautiful.

Thomas, I'm glad your work situation had worked out.

Started mowing last evening and was too slow pushing the pedal to lift the deck as I drove over the little stump (4') diameter where I cut our recent Christmas tree. I'm sure I've driven over it before without even lifting the deck. Well, horrible noise immediately...turned off mower and drove back to the shed to check it out. Turned out to be a very loose middle blade rattling with its washers, etc. I know I torqued it correctly when I sharpened them last month...so checked the other 2 blades...both okay. Took the blade off, straightness and balance still good. Installed and torqued and then mowed for almost 2 hours. All good.

I suspect hitting a stump loosened the blade, and that's better than breaking something...also thinking it's a good thing I hadn't over-torqued since that may have had a less favorable result.

Thomas, think you found a new job.
Out of 14 near by neighbors only 1 mows there lawn, very seldom see them getting little dirt under their finger nail ;)

It's difficult finding dirt contactor do small jobs around our area, and what they charge and wait  I only do if there in bind and with certain conditions.

I've never understood why we don't have 3 arms.

good morning all
71 going to 94 today, gonna be hot

Buppies, glad you are doing better, take it slow in heat
Of course Texas is crazy hot again, hope Don's drip waterers keep working

I have nothing planned for today. How wonderful. Still have to finish cleaning out rv, make sure it's vacuumed carefully so as not
to attract those ants back again. Need to do that this morning while cooler out.
and those weeds in the garden aren't going to leap out by themselves, so will do a little of that also.

Jay, you really have your hands full. As a long term caregiver for my late wife, that gave me a good dose of PTSD for years (worked it all out on NC farm)
I feel for you. You just hope for good days when fun and joy can light up your life.

It’s 79F now at 6:12am heading to 101F. Going out for some early morning mowing then shower/shave to take little brother out for lunch as he turns 65 in a few days.
@Wagtail here is a picture of some Texas sausage, ribs and brisket at Cooper’s in Llano, Texas from a few years ago.

Poor Sassy
this nice man gave her a really cool chew toy shaped like a piece of cherry pie
unfortunately it weighs way too much for her so no cherry chewing going on.
That clearly needs to be remedied.

Today, a new assortment of chew toys arrives for her chewing pleasure.
let's see if we do any better.
will need a full report from Ron.
Of course, she does have a dozen other toys to choose from...this is one pampered dog.

Mowed along a fence line I do not mow often and found the neighbor has dumped rocks over the fence
Make one wonder ways of some people thinking. 🙄

Corner of our front field at 4 way intersection with old tote road 30' long, over the years had to clean up many different items...bags rubbish, pallets, old dog house, paint cans, tires even apartment size refrigerator...sure like to catch them in the act.

Good Morning.
73 going past 90 again, little chance of rain and no wind to speak of.

Yesterday started and ended in the shop working on the speaker. In between I got all the mowing done, cleared a drain at the restaurant, and attended an airport authority meeting.

Here’s the RC runway-

And here is what the speaker looked like when I called it a day-

For today, looks like first chore is to move hay from shed to barn. Then it will be back to the wood shop. Don’t have any outside chores other than to fly some RC. Supposed to meet the seller of the Transit Connect at the Notary this afternoon. I’m not convinced that will happen smoothly, but we will see. I have no level of trust in them. Other than that, I’m hoping for a slow paced day.

67°f now, dew point 64° and the sun is out, mid 80’s for highs today with showers and scattered thunderstorms later today.

Trimming and mowing 95% done just need to get the hilly parts trimmed but was still too wet and slippery, also working on a slope with the trimmer does nothing for my knees and other body parts!

Beer, wine, grocery shopping this morning and then just putter and conserve energy.

Prayers for those dealing with health and family issues.

For those dealing with the crazy weather around the country stay safe.

Enjoy your day everyone

69 outside this AM, heading to mid 90's.

Trip to NY was a "success". No issues with daughters surgery results. Doctor said posture issues are muscularly. OF course if the attitude was right, one could understand that, Seeing how half the body was sliced open and rearranged, reassembled. No more comments on that. Good news is all agree pain killers need to be weaned off. Surgery seems to have lowered the pain threshold back to a level where it is manageable, maybe without opioids. Thank the lord.

I went to remove a weed plant, LOL, bush, from the "garden" this AM and stirred up a ground hornet nest. Three got me before I figured it out. Excellent way to start the day! Excellent!

Farrier and vets coming this AM. Don't like playing horse owner either. Grass needs to be cut, in certain areas only, LOL. Lush in spots, burned out in others. Pool looks inviting. Turtles in koi-less pond seem to be enjoying the weather. Only have one deer now hanging around. Down from the two herds at the start of the year. Foxes moved on. Ground hog count (trapping) up to seven thus far this year. Never did start shooting or spraying for identification. Burn pile needs to be lit. Harry homeowner jobs on the to do list....time to get busy.

Hope all have a great day. Be safe, thinking of those in bad weather situations.
