So do you think it was the filter or the pump?Fuel pressure gage was going to cost as much as a new pump and filter so I just went ahead and replaced the pump and filter. Viola. Problem solved. Could instantly tell I had power back. And ran for 45min with out dying.
Electric pump or vacuum?I also had to cut the pigtail off the old pump as the oe kawasaki pump had a different clip![]()
I questioned that too as I assumed all carbd motors were vacuum. But I am no mechanic. This is the motor, and the pump I bought. My Scag is a 2004 so its an older engine. But the same specs as the one below. Runs great I put about 100hrs a yr on it and the oil is still clean when I change it in the spring. I would like to stab the engineers who placed the oil drain where it is. Ordering a fumoto valve for it so next year i dont spend an hr cussing the paint off the walls.Fuel injected then? O2 sensor?
Not familiar with some of the newer stuff.....but 10-15 year old stuff....the only electric pumps were on the injected stuff. And Im only familiar with the kohler injected stuff
