Not so fast
It's easy to move to USA if willing to live here under the radar IE. illegally, but moving here legally to live as a green card holder is quite another story!

It takes either marrying US citizen or advanced degree and good connections to get a firm job offer + sponsor or lot of money and probably hiring immigration lawyer plus lot of time etc. etc. for most applicants.

If above are not feasible, refugee status would help a lot.
let us not get political now....;-)

I tell you,

650-700 fps with a 14 grain .22 caliber pellet is sufficient for any pesting.

If you can not "hold over" at longer ranges, You really need practice or abandon the idea.

My method is to aim for the highest body part of the pest, that way any unanticipated drop results in a body hit. Dead is dead.

I've not used these, but fragnible BBs are not supposed to bounce off of hard targets.

Any break barrel or spring piston (any form, gas ram included) are going to be more hold sensitive and harder to shoot consistently without practice... On the other hand a multi stroke or single stroke pump gun or CO2 is way more consistent shot to shot, CO2 has a downside of not working as well under 70F (especially below freezing). If you get a spring piston gun that shoots around 800FPS in .177 caliber that should be pretty consistent and do what you need just fine though... It all depends on what is available locally which most of us will not likely be able to tell you... Waiurch (sp) is a well known European company for airguns so any of what they have will serve you well...

No matter what anyone says, there's no "best" option, there's too many options for there to be a best... there's many forums out there for this kinda input, gatewaytoairguns is one...

I have a pump up 22 cal pellet gun. Sheridan Blue Streak. I lived in a large subdivision in Alaska. Didn't feel comfortable using a 22 rimfire or shotgun to control pests. The pellet gun was silent and effective.

Here in WA state - I live on 80 acres. Nearest neighbor is miles away. I use any/all of my weapons to control pests. Rimfire - center fire - shotgun........ they all come into play.

Wife bought me a Crossman 1100fps .177 break action pellet rifle to shoot rabbits I her garden when we lived in Wisconsin. Still illegal in town, but quiet and neighbors were happy to see fewer of the freeloaders.

It has a scope and she also bought a laser sight for it. You can get different pellets for practice or hunting, much like you might use different rounds in a firearm.

I've taken rabbits and squirrels with it. I practiced on a coffee can. It would go through both sides without moving the can. I shot a rabbit with it once and thought I had somehow missed completely. Darned thing didn't move...about 30 seconds later it just slowly fell over.

if rat poison is not available, and if you have no pets then a small dish of Prestone Anti-Freeze will eliminate rats. A hardware store my nephew once worked at used this with a cover that kept larger animals from getting to it. Not very humane because they suffer as they die but very effective.

Immediate liver failure and a gruesome death. I prefer a 17 HMR myself.

Your method is also a lot more selective.
Absolutely. My wife is a feline lover so antifreeze or poison blocks don't work. Me, I cannot stand cats but they came with the matrimonial bliss long ago.

Besides, I like drilling them. Way more fun and gives me 'trigger time'.
