I have owned an MTE2000D for 20 years. It's very similar to the 1800. They are bare bones machines but they are bulletproof. You can run wide open with any implement it'll pull and it'll still burn > a gallon/hr. of fuel. I have had zero issues getting parts and something that helps is Mitsubishi made Case IH's compacts for a while. My model is very similar to the IH254/ CIH255, the 1800 is a good crossover to the IH 244/CIH245. I use a cheap I&T MT180-MT300 service manual and it's never failed me.
