TYM25
I've got a TYM25 with 1.5 hours on it. While tendering hay with an old Grimm #8 that is quite center balanced, the tedder tips back and up comes the drawbar and hits the driveshaft from the PTO. I somewhat solved that problem, but now I wonder how your going to use this tractor do hill up a row of potatoes without having downward pressure on the drawbar. I have not talked to the dealer yet, but I might have the wrong tractor for my needs. What's your thoughts?

I'm not familiar with your tractor but from your description you are pulling from a drawbar mounted to the lift arms. You should have a fixed drawbar lower under the belly of the tractor, low under the rear axle housing.

You are correct. That might be a possibility with the tedder. If I hookup my 5 foot tiller, do I just rely on the weight of the tiller to dig in? I picture it bouncing stop the ground. My old Ford 1500 has down pressure on the 3 pt hitch and I can dig in.

Yes the weight of a 3 point implement is what applies the down pressure.
I wasn't aware that the little imported Fords had down pressure on the 3 point.

I also am unaware that a Ford 1500 tractor has down pressure on 3 pt draft arms. Some Tractors built by Belarus have 3pt down pressure

If you intend to use a drawbar mounted to the 3 point lift arms then you need to put some "Stay Bars" on it to keep the drawbar stabil. Here is a pic of some on an old Ford, they are usually available at most farm stores and are adjustable so they can be used on almost any tractor with a (Cat1) 3 point lift.

Makes sense. Good to know. I still wonder how to fill a row of potatoes without that downward force. You need to dig in to get enough soil to and cover the row.

Can you post a photo of the Grimm #8? I don't see how you can pull any Grimm equipment with a 24hp tractor. I don't think my 50hp tractor could pull any of them. I know there's potato plows and disks but they're for single-row gardening. Even those will need loose soil for 24hp.

The plow provides the down force. You can adjust the 'angle of attack' by varying the length of the top link. This is very important with a moldboard plow.

Yes I can post a photo when I get back down to the field. It fits fine.
