Batwing mower

Having had every brand of cutter, we only use Brown cutters. They are expensive. I don’t think they make a batwing

How much grease(ounces) is "30 shots" ? Grease guns vary in the amount each pump dispenses, and I like to use my pneumatic gun, and I want to make sure I am pumping the right amount,,but not tooo much. It is a real nasty pain in the back to do. I think every 8 hours is overkill, but I'm not taking any chances,,
I keep mine where there is a pile grease getting slung out pretty often. Also, what greases are folks using on the cv joints? and "U" joints.?

Rhino flex wings have been the most reliable for me. I have owned a Woods and a Modern. The gear boxes are bullet proof and the steel decks may be too (I think it is AR400 plate). I currently own a Epic and love it. I really liked the older FR and SR Rhino's, they had great structural framed components that made re-decking every 10 years simple. But I did not like how they carried so much chaff and clippings, the new style flex wings clean them selves. And a CV drive shaft is a must for tight turning, but yes keep it greased up!!

I use a lithium based general purpose grease here. I'm mostly concerned with the grease staying somewhat soft during winter cold, than summer heat (for the snow blower and FEL, not the mower-obviously). But I use the same grease year 'round, and on my mower too.

For a hotter climate (yours) I would think just about any general purpose grease would be fine. Rotating speeds are slow, so you don't really need a super high temp grease like you'd put on vehicle or trailer wheel bearings.

I have a three point 8' bushhog that covers my tracks(I plan to keep it) but I'm ready to upgrade to a batwing. I think I want a 15'. My finances decided it will be used, lol. I have 20 acres at home, 300 next county over(can't clip all of it) and hope to pick up 75-100 in the next year or two. Are there any certain brands to run from or to? Is there a big blade tip speed difference between brands?

You tell by how heavy made and. How flexible they are by looking at them. The names don’t mean a lot to me, unless it’s a woods. Just my feelings
