All agency heads are political appointees, not professionals. And they are usually the problem. Whether they work or just come up with dumb ideas for the actual professional employees is subjective.

Easy, there. J is one of those bureaucrats. I think he is one of the good ones that proves the rule. I know a FBI guy that I trust, too.

I think if you put a qualifier on it to say Washington bureaucrats vs regular bureaucrats you probably get more of the problem children with deep seated political opinions masquerading as 'expertise'.

Have never met one that had a lick of sense, and usually just a condescending attitude..

Well I take that back, I called in to Social Security during COVID, and was lucky enough to speak to a gentleman who seemed to actually care, spent much more time with me than I was requesting, reviewed my file and caught a discrepancy that was costing me a few hundred bucks a year, and fixed it!

So I guess I should not paint with a broad brush….
