It is too thick, and not very flexible-especially on a smaller machine with less real estate, and it's more expensive. Small TnT cylinders do not require a lot of flow either, so there is no advantage to larger hoses. Why not 1/2" Kenny? I'm running 1/2. Fits and works fine. I run 1/2 on everything. It makes it easier to have everything the same size.
Do you mean the pin to pin length? The one I bought is 21 1/2” with 10” of travel. Which is exactly my current top link dimensions.Yes your couplers are 1/2" ISO 5675 poppet style Ag-type couplers.
There really is no need to exceed R17 hose capabilities for these tractors. R17 has a working pressure in excess of 3000psi and over a 12,000psi bursting pressure. I have been providing R17 hoses for over 10 years without issue.
Curious as to what working range you ended up getting for the top link?![]()

While poppet and ball styles are typically interchangeable, they are just what they are, one has a ball that makes the seal when closed and the other has a poppet that makes the seal. They are not the same.Is pioneer just another term for the AG-style?
And it seems like ‘poppet’ and ‘ball’ are interchangeable terms meaning the same thing essentially?
Grabbing the lines from Princess Auto (Harbour Freight) tomorrow so I’ll see what they have.
Appreciate all the help today from all.
Yes...sort of.Is pioneer just another term for the AG-style?
Interesting, thanks. While poppet and ball styles are typically interchangeable, they are just what they are, one has a ball that makes the seal when closed and the other has a poppet that makes the seal. They are not the same.
Good to know, thanksYes...sort of.
Pioneer is a brand name, just like Kleenex is to tissues. So many people say 'pioneer' style...but what they technically are is ISO 5675 'AG' style w/poppest like Brian mentioned. Many companies make them, Faster, Safeway, Stucchi, Pioneer/Parker, etc.
