LD 266 stops when brake pedal released.

Replaced ignition board, replaced voltage regulator.
It ran and mowed lawn for about 20 minutes, then shut off.
battery didn’t charge enough to restart, so i jumped it, and it started. However, when i released the brake pedal, it shuts off. Also shuts off when trying to engage mowing deck, and shuts off if i turn on headlights.
Any help greatly appreciated!

Did you load test the battery? If ok, how about battery to engine connections and cables....bad contacts? Assume its a spark ignition machine and any load applied to the battery lowers the voltage to the point that it can't supply adequate spark.

Were you sitting on the seat when you released the brake after starting? My mower will only stay running if the brake is on or if I'm sitting on the seat. Same with engaging mower deck, only will engage and keep running if on the seat. I'd suspect you have a bad seat switch. Also check your ground cable where it connects to frame.
