Hurricane Idalia

   / Hurricane Idalia #21
We got some wind and a little rain in Jax. This tree came down next door, and the "almost 90" Widow had her son in law cutting it when we left for Live Oak, Fl this morning.
I found out the Widow I am helping in Live Oak got a $22,000.00 estimate, and the guy lowered it a couple grand at a time till he got to $15k, where he stopped.
Long day on a saw, but rewarding!
David from jax

The gouging that the out of towners try to get from people who have already lost alot is really unbelievable, and the thing is they could be fair and still make really good money.

So, I forgot about this thread. At work before Tgiving, it was mentioned the state and it's contractors had gathered 5.5m cubic yards of tree debris from the storm.

Just heard yesterday at a meeting about hurricanes; the final count was 7.85 million cubic yards of tree debris removed from roadways.
