Good Morning!!!! 41F @ 8:00AM. More clouds than sun. High 59F. Winds SSE at 5 to 10 mph.
It sprinkled a tiny bit as I started home yesterday, enough that I should probably was the car today. Nothing showed up in the rain gauge at home, though.
There were lots of bay trees along the trail we followed to the waterfall last weekend, so I picked a couple dozen to refresh my supply. They call the trees bay laurel out here.
Back in May I purchased a car cover (Motor Trend brand) for the Camry to keep the sun off it in the summer and rain off it in the winter. Yesterday I went to remove it for a trip into town and found several cracks in the roof and hood area. I wasn't very careful in reading the Amazon reviews because several of them mentioned this problem. Looks like it only had a 30 day warranty, but I sent an email off to the seller anyway. Since I'm probably out of luck on this one, I wonder if any of you have had success with another brand of cover. So far none of the alternatives seem to be trouble free, with anything from scratching the paint, blowing off in the wind, or leaking water being sited as issues. Maybe I should just use a sun shade and regularly wax the paint?
While I was at Costco yesterday I got another alligator bite booster. I've lost count on what number this one is, maybe six or seven? The pharmacist said they no longer bother with the cards, as all the records are now kept in a computer somewhere. So far no reaction other than a little soreness at the injection site.
Found a frozen turkey for $.99/lb at the grocery store, a good enough deal that it came home with me. I'll keep it frozen for a few weeks, maybe until Christmas.
Enjoyed the Desantis/Newsom debate last night. I ain't sayin' who won.
