Good Morning ~ 40º going to 68º. Will be 75º this weekend, then all 68-75 degree highs in the 10 day forecast. This is why we live here in this little pocket of Mediterranean climate. Plans for a little tractor time later discing field. I cut the last of the tall growth yesterday. Plans to attack the squirrel burrows and remove the biggest rocks now. Once it's turned up and smoothed it should be prepped for many yrs of easy mowing.
Made a big pot of beef stew and beans last night. Ate too much :giggle:
Enjoy your day.

Good Morning!!!! 49F @ 4:30AM. Overcast with rain showers at times. High 54F. Winds SSE at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 70%.
The wind woke me up rattling the wind flap in the range hood. Now I'm wondering about the stability of the van/trailer combo in the wind today. Road condition report has a high wind warning for one section of I5 that always has wind. You should see the windmill farm on Altamont Pass! I've had some excitement in the winds before. Guess I can always turn back if it gets too bad.

Side hilling on uneven ground, especially with soft spots and holes, is risky business, Scotty. But I'm sure you know this, right?

$80,000K for that turbine? GULP!

Got the entertainment system with the 65" big screen loaded into the van yesterday morning , then switched over to the trailer. Mostly tools from the garage that had to be winched up the ramp because of their weight. The slight side slope of the trailer kept things interesting. The weather forecast was for light showers at 1PM, and was precisely accurate. I was just about done by then, but ended up checking tire pressure and oil level in the rain. Then adding a few more things when it briefly stopped.

Hang in there, gang, Friday's comin'!

25 doubling to 50. Pretty creamy pink sky earlier.

Pearl Harbor Day. Good to see your pix of your visit there, Mostly.

Did the annual search for a Christmas tree yesterday. Been cutting my own for nearly 50 years, but this year the bucks have torn up the only contenders...I have one more place to look, but not looking any will pass my wife's QC.

Could be a Charlie Brown Christmas lol. We have 2 puppies in the house. Think it's best I leave the tree in the box this year.

I think I've tried all the ozols. Pantaprazol currently works very well for me.
My acid reflux burned the bottom third of my vocal cords and lowered by voice.
Not good, particularly since acid burns to that area makes you more prone to cancer.
and my Dad died of esophageal cancer. Of course he smoked cigars but makes me wonder if genetically that
could be a weak area. Hopefully not, though my throat has never been right since.

plain old Tums taken preemptively works pretty well too

Forecast just changed, yikes, SNOW is coming.
not much, won't stick
c'mon weather, warm back up
I have taken acid reflux for years. Tried all of the ones mentioned with little relief. About 4 months ago started taking ALIGN. i can eat almost anything today without major stomach issues. I have now cut back on it every other day. Will see how that works out. My stomach problems started with side effects from prescribed meds. I no longer take any prescribed meds.

My youngest son has all kinds of digestive issues, which didn’t seem to start until prescription meds.

Good Evening Paul,
I am thinking a tool to roll the sweet sugar ice cream cones, and slip off before they harden ?:)

Lots of good guesses, some were right there, but not sure.

And here is the last piece of the puzzle-

Yes, the cone pulls the waffle into the form, making a delicious, crispy sugar cone.

Good Morning.
It’s 31 and snowing. Just a shower, but a reminder that I don’t have the driveway markers out or the plow on the tractor, or any other prep for a real snow.
Yesterday’s trip was just the way I like them, no weather challenges, smooth ride, and not a lot of impact from the wind.

When I got home, I pretty much accomplished nothing other than getting the mail on my way into the lane, and paying attention to Zoe when I got in the house. I could have ignored the mail, there was no ignoring Zoe.

Today should involve getting ready for snow, that will start with changing the hydraulic oil in the tractor. Then I have to rearrange the shop so that the tractor and snowplow will be backed up in front of the door, ready to spring into action. Next would be getting the driveway markers in, followed (or preceded by) moving hay from the shed to the barn. I’ve got an RC club meeting at 6:30, and the trash and recycling has to be consolidated and find its way to the street before I call it a day.
