37 mostly cloudy going to 47 and windy. Looks like our chance of snow Saturday has turned into a chance of ice.
Mostly, stove weighs 2.6 oz and fuel canister is 7.5 oz when full. so, about 10 oz. So, fun to take on day hikes...it's the water that weighs so much to make tea or coffee, and to rehydrate meals. So, we usually just eat nuts, apples, Babybels and maybe jerky. But when it's below freezing, a warmup meal or beverage is perfect.
Prayers said for you two, Buppies. Glad sugar is better.
Hope your wife improves soon, m70.
Scott, looks like you'll get your Christmas decorations down before we will. My wife is set on keeping them up until after our family Christmas get together, in another week...had to cancel it on Christmas weekend because she was sick. Kinda fun to turn on the Christmas tree lights each morning when I get up, and watch the outside lights burn bright when I was coming up the hill on the tractor last evening.
Took my wife to get Moh's surgery yesterday at 7:30. They start early. Good doctor, finished the procedure on the first go. Then did our first Costco run of the year. They had Mobil 1 oil at $10 off a box...glad to see they had 0W20, my grade, for the first time...they enlarged the store recently and carry more variety.
Then a Tex-Mex lunch and home to unload and then go into the woods to cut firewood. The rounds were so heavy, I had to hand split them into thirds to load them into my tractor carry box. Today, will try to finish them on the splitter.
