Given those 3 singers were dead by the late 90s (Bing - 1977, Dean - 1995, Frank - 1998) its no wonder.

Our first house cost $20K in 1985.

My first, and only house so far, a 1400 sq.ft. ranch with full basement, cost ~$32K in 1974, including the 3 acres of land. I am appalled at the prices of houses and land nowadays. My daughter and her husband built a house in FL a couple of years ago that was $600K.
