Thomas, with the wind gust predicted, the soggy ground, extra gas for gen is a good idea
Tonight after dinner supposed to hit here hard, so the question is when will the power go off tonight.

took a nice long hot shower, depressed when getting on scale, 240 is an unhappy number for me.
I guess I need to join a gym, but really don't want to be that close to lots of folks.
Hi, how is that treadmill? do you have long covid or short?.

going food shopping, guess I'd better focus on the salads...
as my primary doc likes to remind me you are your own worst enemy.

37 going to 60, but a lotta rain and high winds expected. Wish it was snow.

Nice snow pix, Lou, and nice turkey gang.

Ken, nice snow, too. Sorry you've been sick, and 22 lbs is a lot.

NHBX, looks like you got most snow of all. We want some.

Kyle, great buck and pretty daughter. Those are very nice shotguns and reliable.

Ron, congrats on the Michigan victory. I forgot to watch. My wife had a Hallmark movie on and I fell asleep in the recliner.

Hope all who are sick will get well soon!

Young people have always had a challenging time moving into adulthood. Movies, TV, music and social media play such a big part and often present unrealistic pictures of life. Many of the positive influences we enjoyed growing up are missing now for so many. Sorry to hear of these tragic deaths. Also, always glad to read of your kids' and grandkids' accomplishments.

Had a great hike at a Nature Conservancy mountain preserve yesterday. Met one other hiker...about my age, grew up only one high school district over, surfed at the same breaks in Virginia Beach and Hatteras, and took the same bus trips up to the mountains to go snow skiing. Was also driving the same model year Tundra. Was like I had a twin. Guess that's why I liked him. :ROFLMAO:

Good Morning!

God has given us another chance to get it right (or at least not screw up too badly).

46.0F going to almost 60, been Fallon’ a flood since about midnight.

Work is wacky, a line supervisor got canned afyer storming out afyer a “difference of opinion” on how things have been handled re the new training system... yay…
I think I will be bringing in our CDs and portable players and headphones sooner rather than later. “I dunno NUTHIN’!” Is a great way to avoid getting splattered.

Other than that, nothing much to report.
I hope everyone has a happy healthy dry safe blessed day!

Had a great view of two of my favorite mountains from the top of the mountain I climbed...Three Ridges and The Priest. All the snow had melted. Also had a lot of mountain laurel on the trail.

You are that far away !
Swill Alps rescue dogs are named after St Bernard's Pass

Mine is named after Berne city.
They are similar, like brother from another mother 😁

Just one thing bothers me. Is there such thing as "medicinal whiskey" ?
I am pretty sure that all kinds of whiskey (along with cognac) are "medicinal" by default. At least that's what I try to explain to my wife
:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
Tincture of grain?
tincture of Grape?

Something I have done for a couple decades now is, when there is any sort of forecast that includes any sort of significant accumulation of Global Waming (3+inches) or ice, Icut off a piece of 6mil plastic from a roll and tuck one end in the the hood, go over the roof, and then tuck it in the trunk lid/tailgate/hatch/(whatever is at the rear of the vehicle. If it is light and fluffy, most of it just blows off on its own, anything else slides off with a minimum of effort and no scraping.

i usually keep a roll of black qnd a roll of clear on hand for various projects, besides vehicle coverings.

i only use fresh pieces for the vehicles to preclude damage from accumulated debris, I try to fold them up as neatly as possible and keep track of the “car side” to get multiple uses through a season.

Morning all, 28 going up to 53 and cloudy, calling for >1" of rain later

Got some of the decorations in and unplugged. Still need to clear out the front yard ones, as soon as I figure out where to store the new ones

Started moving the big racks and piles to get at the back corner with SR. Hope to get a panel or two up tonight if dayjob let's me.

TxDon - hope the rebound is no where near as bad

Rip - how are you holding up ?

M7040 - your help with the children has shown them the way, but they have to walk it, hopefully this goes well.

Mostly - welcome home, lot's of traveling, time to put your feet up and get the bikes tuned up

Anyone want some deer? Seems I have to go out and yell at them to move out, and they just stare at me most of the time. The dog does scare them when she lunges, but even that only moves them a few feet into the woods.

Off to the grind,

Be well,

Good morning, the low is 20 and going to a high of 25°F. Wind E 11 mph. Snow and blowing snow today AND tonight. By the time it is all over we are expecting a little over a foot.
I took another look at the weather map and this dusting stretches all the way into the Carolinas.

Picked up 5 gallons of high test gas for the genny, so now I have 20 gallons, 5 in it and 15 on the side. Tractor all fueled up and back blade treated with pam. New LED work lights installed on the front, they are wired in with the LED amber carnival light on top. Should be good to go.

Many, many moons ago, back in the last century, I was addicted to meth-amphetamines, got myself clean from that with a lot of help from my friends. The real ones. Then after my mother died (1988) I fell right into the cocaine trap. Got myself strung out for a winter and got clean from that in the following summer. The monkey is always there, you just got to be strong enough to keep the monkey at bay. I look back at what I had then ( back then I didn't have a pot to piss in, nor a window to throw it out of) and compare to what I have now and that keeps me clean. Ya, I smoke weed (hash), every day that I don't have to go anywhere. Keep in mind that weed/hash/keif is all legal in Canada. It is just the chemicals that are illegal. I don't need to do a P test for work or to keep my license. I also don't go to the 'states anymore, where they insist on a P test about every 6 months. In fact, I don't leave Ontario.

Helo, I agree with you. Temperature is relative, after a week or so of -40°F temperatures, a day of 0°F is a warmer day and it will usually snow then.

Have a safe day all
