Buying Advice - Kioti, LS, TYM Compact Tractors

Well, I've eliminated the LS MT225s.

We're down to the T25 or the CX2510.

Thanks to everyone for pushing me towards the T25, not really sure why I had the T264 stuck in my head.

What eliminated the LS from the running, if I might ask? If I were to place a guess, it would be that the local dealer doesn't give you a warm fluffy feeling.

The dealer is a big role. Farthest from my house, sleezeball sales rep, cussing freely with me on the phone. I don't care about cussing, I cuss like a sailor, but it's very unprofessional to speak that way to a potential customer.

It also is the lightest and has the lowest lift capacity.

The Kioti dealer gives me the best feeling, but the TYM guy is right behind.

We had a customer who purchased two Mahindras. First one was a 5155 with a hoe. He found it rather exasperating working in the woods with it.
So he came down and said "I'd like another tractor". I told him we'd give him what he paid for his 5155 on a trade as it was only 3 months old.
Then he said "no, I want another one w/o the hoe". He didn't feature taking the hoe on and off. Imagine me telling a customer he was crazy for getting another tractor when he could trade in his first machine and even offering to take back just the hoe at least. I told him he could rent a mini for the once in two years he wanted to clear his drainage ditch.
Nope. He insisted on another tractor as he wanted the hoe for whenever he wanted a tractor with a hoe. He purchased a new 5145 and to this day, I call him "crazy man" and he just laughs.
After that he purchased two chainsaws, a 7000 watt Honda generator, a man cage, a grapple and a Lane shark cutter.
He must like being called "crazy". He stated that his wife calls him that all the time and that he felt I made an honest assessment of his condition. He said he appreciated the honesty and likes dealing with an honest dealership.
I wonder if I should start calling more guys names especially if the wife is there.
That's crazy:)

I too don't mind cussing and do it myself. Heck ill even let one slip sometimes when im negotiating the price down or where ever im at in the deal. So if the salesman lets one slip while im there or on the phone. Probably not a big deal but all the time. Probably turn me off as well. I myself hate when they are arrogant. Thats my the hell with this place feeling.

Goodluck with the decision. I looked up the TYM. Nice tractor. I never gave them a thought when i purchased new 2016.

Well, I went to both dealers again today. It's a touch decision. The CX2510 has a smaller footprint, but the same performance. The dealer came down to 19,400 on it.

The TYM is larger with a bigger bucket and rear remotes standard. TYM, while larger in footprint, is 500 pounds lighter. TYM feels a bit cheaper built. The plastic feels chincy in spots and the work platform is a bit soft. The TYM dealer came down to 18,000 @ 3.49 percent.

It's a tough decision, they both seem like real good options for the money.

I kinda like the plastic rear fenders on the tym. They will have flex to them, and they wont rot out. Same with the fuel tank. Im not sure where the kioti gets the extra weight as it is smaller.

I don't dislike the plastic fenders, more the plastic trim surrounding the loader control arm and surrounding the dash. The foot platform also felt a little flimsy.

Ran into the same problem when looking at JD's equivalent. Plastic fenders, plastic floor board, plastic hood, aluminum gear housing, lessened lift capacity....nope.
A tractor with increased capacities needs weight. A tractor you use beyond mowing the grass or moving mulch or grappling branches or rototilling, needs the beef. Plus, they wanted a premium price.
If you think a weight saving tractor fits your world better, then that's what you need.
It didn't fit mine in the least but I use my tractor hard.
Here's a pic of my old JD. All steel at that time. I would have busted it to pieces in this terrain if it were plastic.

I always loved those old JD/Yanmar 790 and 990 tractors because there was very little plastic on them. They looked and felt solid.
