Mostly...wondering what was biking final milage for 2023.
i don't really budget per se, but I keep track of my spending and kind of know when i'm spending too much. I don't have a set amount per category each month i'm trying to hit, but I do like to compare year to year, etc.. It's taken many years to come up with categories that suit me.69°F and 0 rain. Looks another pretty day ahead
Got the mowing finished yesterday for this round. Always looks nice at this point.
Thanks for the budget app comments. I too have the old files with data going back years. Not in same detail as Dennis but have found them useful from time to time. Think I have found 3 or 4 apps I need to check out further. All but 1 have a free trial period of 1-2 months. 1 also has a demo file. Need to determine a sensible approach as maintaining a full blown budget for each for a month or two sounds like work.
No plans for the day. Just take it as it comes.
Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day
Most of my son's work is writing programs to import spreadsheet data and making nice fancy web pages from the data. He calls it Data Wrangling.Yup, DIL also referenced. Currently #3 on my shortlist.
My current, still to be explored thought are limitations and seems more manually intensive. Maybe OK for the kids, but not what I want for Sophie.
So far Copilot Money and Monarch are prime contenders. Look like they do everything in YNAB plus.
Find in interesting, but not surprising that so many of us use spreadsheets. One of my evaluation criteria is ability to import/export CSV files.
Going back to Visicalc days I just had a hard time getting my head around mixing Letters and Numbers in same file other than text, then it finally clicked, each of those little cells is independent until you create a relationship. I even taught a few Lotus 123 classes back in my Army days.
Wish I knew of a method to auto import Bank data into my spreadsheets.
Well...Excel macro or a free database program...MS Access....
